From the Principal’s desk…
Our students in years 3, 5, 7 and 9 began
NAPLAN this week. Our school was selected to
complete the assessments online. It has run
smoothly so far, with no technical issues. Years
3 and 5 will finish on Monday and years 7 and
9 on Wednesday next week. Students are

Catch Up Catch Up
On Tuesday morning, I met with our new
Director, Ms Karen Burke. She was impressed
with our vision for our school and looks
forward to working closely with us in achieving
it.
We are once again busy with sport! On
Monday our primary tennis team played
against West Wyalong. The games were
extremely close, however we narrowly lost in
the end. Congratulations to Lewis, Harry,
Noah, Evie, Hannah and Caitlin for trying your
best. Good luck to the primary students who
will complete at the LLPSSA Cross Country on
Friday. We have three students, Harry
Roscarel, Noah Bryant and Lewis Henley who
play in the Western AFL team
next week at the NSW PSSA AFL Carnival in
Batemans Bay. Good luck boys!
Mrs Lisa Payne took our Year 6 students to the
Riverina Debating workshop in Wagga on
Monday. The students had a fantastic day,
learning many new skills in debating.
Yesterday our Year 9/10 Agriculture and Stage
6 Primary Industries students went to the
Bedgerabong pig show. They enjoyed washing
the pigs and parading them. They were also
given the opportunity to compete in the junior
judging competition. This is a great
opportunity for our students.
The next P&C meeting will be held this
afternoon at 3.30pm. Please consider taking
some time out of your day to attend these
meetings.
On Monday and Tuesday, Mrs James, Mrs
Cooper and I will attend a two day Dylan
Wiliam conference in Albury. This will assist
us in developing knowledge and
understanding around ways to refine our
assessment practices.
Thank you to the Year 5/6 students who have
produced a beautiful piece of art for my office.
I was so impressed with how they worked
together to complete the piece. It’s my front
cover picture this week!
Until next week
