2/3G News We have been looking at texts by the author/artist Bronwyn Bancroft and thought we'd do our own version of the magnifi-cent boab trees. The children have all done an outstanding job and their artwork, along with a description of the process, is hanging in our class. Pop in and have a look next time you are at school.

I am looking for parent helpers from 10.15 to 11.00am Monday to Wednesday. If you would like to help during this time, please drop me a note or email and I will sort out a roster. I will be asking helpers to start next week.

Ms Graham

PBL UPDATE

Hi I am a PBL splat. I am Vacy School PBL logo, my name is Splatter. I am given out at school to

students for adhering to school expectations and following rules. I can be given to students in all

settings: classroom, playground, office, canteen lines, bus lines, assemblies, scripture, and library. I

am a reward for good behaviour.

I am given to students at the end of each week if they have received no notifications. I am recorded

on the PBL merit charts in each classroom. When students have received 100 splats they are awarded a Bronze Splat badge at

assembly. Another 100 splats will get students to the next reward level of a Silver Splat badge and another 100 splats students

will receive a Gold Splat badge. In Term 4 Week 7, students who have achieved a Gold Splat badge will have a special lunch

with the Principal. Students who have achieved a Silver Splat badge will receive an ice cream.

Students who receive a Student of the Week Award at our weekly assembly will receive 10 splats for recognition of their

achievement.

Classes that receive Splatter award at our weekly assembly will receive a splat for each student.

Splatter award is awarded to a class that through the week has displayed good manners at assemblies, lined up correctly at

assembly times and outside classrooms after breaks, has had tidy bags outside classrooms and has walked to and from

assemblies in an orderly fashion. This award is picked by the class who is in possession of Splatter and is voted by students.

1/2 News Fletcher kept us entertained with his duck calls

and Campbell gave us a fantastic demonstration

of whip cracking during news last week. I am

constantly amazed by the interesting items the

students in 1/2 bring in to share.

Library day is Thursday. Please remember to

pack a bag so the children can borrow a book

each week to share with you at home. Home

readers should be coming home on your child's

news day each week. If your child has not

started yet please contact me as they either do

not have a folder or they haven't returned their

home reader agreement. These are only

changed on your child's news day each week.
