Enjoy the impressive Advent/Christmas markets of Munich, Salzburg, Zagreb and Dubrovnik-cities which have received accolades for being the most impressive in all of Europe. A feast for the senses, you will experience the traditions, folk customs, art and culture of each country while enjoying daily entertainment in an atmosphere of fairy-tale delight-traditional decorations, specialties of gourmet food and drinks, the scent of gingerbread, mulled wine, claret and roasted sausages. The many attractions including a fairytale forest, churches, historical buildings, various concerts and street musicians will transform you into the traditional European celebration of Advent and Christmas. DAY 1 - SATURDAY DECEMBER 08 – MUNICH Arrival to Munich airport. The Spring Travel Representative will welcome you to Germany and the city of Munich escorting you to your downtown hotel. As you leave the airport you will be treated to a 1-hour panoramic tour including the Olympic Stadium (with the Olympic 1000-foot-high TV tower; driving along the Ludwigstrasse you will see the Bavarian Arch of Triumph and the Field Marshall Hall. After check in at the hotel, a meet and greet at the reception will be followed by the first organized Bavarian lunch. Guided tours of Munich’s City Centre will bring you to the Advent attractions namely, (Christkindlmarkt) at the spectacular Marienplatz and Odeonplatz (14th Century); the 3,000 candle Christmas tree and Marienplatz; the live performance of Christmas Carols from the Old Town Hall Balcony (after 5:30 p.m.), the historical play “Glockenspiel”; the King’s Square (Keningplatz). Return to the hotel for dinner. Enjoy you first night at Munich’s Christmas market.

DAY 2 – SUNDAY DECEMBER 09 – MUNICH Breakfast. Walking guided tours through Marienplatz’s famous Christmas markets and the Magical Village while learning about the history of the Christmas Markets – a possibility of tasting German Culinary specialties (Fruitcake, Gingerbread, Lebkuhen and mulled wine (gluhwein). Enjoy delicious traditional Bavarian food in the Christmas cottages. Free time for an organized lunch at an authentic Bavarian Restaurant. Stop for photo opportunities at Frauenkirche Cathedral of our Dear Lady (325 ft. high), St. Peter’s Church, Munich Peek, the Nativity scene, the Old Town Hall, the new Town Hall, Hofbrauhaus Beer Hall, Alois Dalmayr with luxury delicatessen and coffee shops along with the well-known shopping street Kaufinger & Neuhauser. Return to the hotel for dinner. Enjoy free time and get into the Christmas Spirit enjoying the Christmas decorations of Residence Square.

DAY 3 – MONDAY DECEMBER 10 – NEUSCHWANSTEIN CASTLE – MUNICH Breakfast. As we take in the panorama of the Bavarian Alps we enjoy the 2hr drive to one of the most famous 19th century German Castles, namely the King Ludwig Neuschwanstein Castle. This Romanesque Revival palace, located in South Wet Bavaria, nestled on top of a hill above the village of Hohenschwangau near Fussen, was the inspiration for Walt Disney’s Sleeping Beauty Castle. Guided by a local tour guide, explore the interior of the castle learning about the architecture and King Ludwig II, who was a great for itself. Free time and enjoy an organized lunch at the nearby village restaurant of Hohenschwangau while taking in the panoramic view of Lake Alp. Return to the hotel. Dinner. Free time in Munich.

DAY 4 – TUESDAY DECEMBER 11 – MUNICH - OBERAMMERGAU – SALZBURG Breakfast. Check out. Drive to romantic Passion Play Town of Oberammergau. Visit Christkindlmarkt, Oberammergau (380-year tradition of mounting Passion Plays) or Upper Ammer Vale in the district of Gramish-Partenkirchen (a small town on the Ammer River renowned for its woodcarvers and woodcarvings). Free time for an organized lunch and souvenir shopping in Oberammergau a typical Bavarian Alpine City. A 2-hr. drive to Salzburg. Check in at Salzburg hotel. Dinner. OBERAMMERGAU

DAY 5 – WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 12 – SALZBURG Breakfast. Walking guided tour through Salzburg’s historical centre highlighting the world-famous Advent Market (Christkindlmarkt), Mirabell Square, 18th Century Palace, Marionettentheater, Helbrunn Palace (Advent magic) and an organized lunch at an authentic Austrian Restaurant. Also tours of the birth house of Mozart (1617), Mozart Square, Mozart Bridge. Panoramic visits at Residence Place, Salzburg Cathedral (the Dom), St. Peter’s Yard, University Church, Nonnberg Abbey. Free time for lunch and shopping at Getreidegasse – Europe’s most beautiful shopping street – boutiques, souvenir shops and restaurants. Dinner. Enjoy the evening in the romantic city of Mozart. Stroll through Salzburg experiencing the magic of Salzburg’s Christkindlmarkt/Christmas Market.

DAY 6 – THURSDAY DECEMBER 13 – SALZBURG Breakfast. The “Sound of Music Tour” – a four-hour scenic tour of the original locations of the filming of this famous musical. Enjoy the scenery of the Lake Region and the alps – a tour to remember. Free time for organized lunch in an authentic Austrian restaurant. Free time for lunch and souvenir shopping. Return to hotel. Prepare for the Mozart Dinner Concert (candlelight gourmet dinner featuring 18th century old recipes) held in one of the Baroque Halls. DAY 8 - SATURDAY DECEMBER 15 – ZAGREB Breakfast. A three-hour guided tour of the Zagreb market places Dolac, Upper and Lower cities, The Stone Gate, Lotrscak Tower, Croatian Parliament, Church of St. Mark, the incredible view of Zagreb from the famous Strossmayer's Promenade and Gric, Ban Jelacic Square, Ilica (renowned for shopping), European Square and the most impressive Croatian National Theatre Opera House (a duplicate of the opera house in Vienna). DAY 9 - SUNDAY DECEMBER 16 – ZAGREB After breakfast, celebration of Holy Mass at St. Stephen's Cathedral, Zagreb. Lighting of the traditional Advent candle located on Jelacic Square (at the Mandusevac well). Optional to attend a 12:00 noon honorary guard ceremony in the Upper Town at St. Mark's Square. DAY 10 -MONDAY DECEMBER 17 - ZAGREB – DUBROVNIK Breakfast. Check out. Transfer to the Franjo Tudman International Airport in Zagreb to board a flight (11:40-12:45) to Dubrovnik (the Pearl of the Adriatic Sea - the Croatian Caribbean). Transfer to the hotel, check in, meet and greet at hotel reception. In milder weather, experience the Christmas markets of this ancient walled city. Guided tours of the prestigious monuments including the Pile Market, the Stradun (main promenade) St. Blaise Church, the Sponza Palac Orlando's Column, and numerous other Baroque, Renaissance and Romanesque historical cathedrals and palaces. DAY 11 - TUESDAY DECEMBER 18 – DUBROVNIK Breakfast. Walking tour of old fortress city of Dubrovnik. Enjoy the Christmas atmosphere while partaking of the caffes, shops, boutiques and restaurants. Visit the filming locations of the Game of Thrones and take a relaxing walk by the sea. Drive 40 minutes to Konavle where you will enjoy a traditional Dalmatian lunch (served by waiting staff in traditional Dalmatian costumes) in the famous KONAVOSKI DVORI RESTAURANT located in the middle of a forest beside the Ljuta River - an ecological and culinary experience never to be forgotten.
