Hope Appeal: At present, St. Cyril’s with 34%
participation is 7,794.79 short (we received an anonymous donation of $500 which reduced our balance) and Holy Trinity with 91% participation is $1,912.26 short of our assessed goals. Please help us make our goal that supports so many ministries in our region and throughout the dio-cese. On the Feast of the Epiphany - this weekend of
January 7-8 - we continue the tradition of the blessing of the home. Packets with a Holy Water container, chalk and a House Blessing are avail-able at the entrances. This is one way we can dedicate our homes to the Lord and ask the Lord to watch over and protect all who dwell there.
A New Bulletin Format:
We are now using a new bulletin format to better communicate our parishes events. We found that people would read page two and not page three (page one is the cover) and vise versa and miss announcements where we are able to fit them. Most announcements are for both parishes. Therefore are format is as follows:
Page 2: Column one, SS. Cyril & Methodius Schedule of Ministers, Collections, Intentions and Bingo. Column Two, the same items specific to Holy Trinity. Page 3: Announcements for both parishes, and items specific to our Pastoral Care Area (PCA) Page 4: Announcements from outside our PCA. Page 5: Mass intentions and weekly schedule.
Any given week there may be some over-laps, but that is why it is good to read the whole bulletin.
A special thank you to all those who make
up their weekly envelopes when they have been
away!
To insure you get proper credit for your con-
tribution, please mark your envelopes.

A Family Perspective from the office of Family
Life Education. Today’s gospel tells us “all Jeru-salem” was upset because “King Herod was deeply troubled.” A similar ripple effect happens in families; one person’s negative attitude can affect the whole family. If you want a peaceful and joyful home, it must start with you. Be
