The Hi-Tri held its annual formal initiation at a tea on Tues­rl~y evening, Nov. 25, at 7:.30 p.m. in the school libr.ary.

The fi-rst part of the ceremony was by candlelight. It began with c;peeches by the four officers; then everyone joined in singing the Hi­Tri song. - The old members then presen:ted t'he new with their pins.

If engraved invit~tions were sent out for this shindig, that's what they might sound like. Just Looking The metal classes of Eugene Clewell have

, been wol'king busily on the various 'metal objects which are being made, many of which are to be Christmas gifts.

One of the projects under way is the repairing and painting of 46 metal f-0 lding chairs, which will l\e used by the school.

Mr. Clewell stated that there are many f ine pieces which will be sent to the State Fair. Among these is a brass lamp being made by Jock Kelly, who designed it him­self.
