I. INTRODUCTION
Dear Tao Brothers and sisters, our heartiest congratulations to
you for being able to receive the Great TAO. Today is the
auspicious day that you have received Tao, which is the ultimate
aim of existence. You have gone through a simple yet solemn
initiation ceremony but what being transmitted is of major
significance. During the ceremony, the Enlightening Master has
invited divine Saints & Buddhas to witness our Holy Teacher to
transmit Tao to you, the very Truth of the universe. Only
Enlightening Master with the Heavenly Decree can transmit Tao.
When we received Tao, Enlightening Master opened our wisdom
eye and passed on to us the profound heart-to-heart spiritual
teaching - the Three Treasures.
The essence of the Three Treasures is the same as what the
ancient Saints and Sages had received. In ancient times, Tao
was secretly transmitted from one Patriarch to another. Those
who intended to receive Tao had to go through a lot of hardships
and give up all worldly possessions. It was difficult to seek an
Enlightened Master who could transmit Tao to them. Moreover,
they had to purify their minds, cultivate their virtues, and perform
many good deeds. Otherwise, it was impossible for them to
receive Tao successfully.
Today it is far easier for us to receive Tao - we need not undergo
much hardship nor cultivate ourselves beforehand. That is
because we are fortunate to be in the right time when Tao is
widely propagated. What a privilege for us.
Nowadays, people’s minds are corrupted and filled with greed
and desires as a result so many sins are created. Most people do
not act upon their conscience. This is the reason why the
greatest ever calamity is being built up. No one will be able to
stay out of it. Therefore, the Buddha Land (Eternal Mater)
showed her mercy, descended Tao and make available to the
masses so as to save good people and to revive our conscience.
Tao is for anyone with a compassionate heart and have divine

affinities with Saints and Buddha and also due to their
ancestors’ virtues. In addition, we have performed many good
deeds and had cultivated well in our previous lives. Thus, the
occasion of receiving Tao is very special.

II. The Three Treasures Now let’s talk about the Three Treasures in more detail.
1. The First Treasure – The Heavenly Portal
(The Main Gate)
Do you still remember where the master pointed on our
forehead? That is our first treasure
This first treasure is also called The Heavenly Portal or Main
Gate because it is the direct passage to Heaven. It is the
spiritual nexus of your being. This is the entry point where we
gain access to our inner realm. This is the dwelling of our
true nature, soul and consciousness, which is full of
strengths and potential.
When we received Tao, the Enlightening Master unlocked our
door of wisdom. This is important because this enables us to
tap into boundless essence that lies within us.
When body and soul combine, there is birth; when body and
soul separate, death occurs. While one is alive, the soul
dwells within his body. The soul is animating and controlling
the physical body. The relationship of soul and body is like a
driver and the car. Without the driver, the car is just a display
and of no use. So we call the soul - the true self or true
nature.
The Heavenly Portal or Gate is the main entrance for the soul
to enter and leave the physical body. Where exactly is the
Gate? Since it is a heavenly secret, one must not reveal it
simply. We can only indicate its presence by symbolism and
that’s why all Buddhas and Saints have markings on their
foreheads or halo light around their heads. In their teachings,
there are many traces of hidden teachings, parables and
The Three Treasures
6
metaphors that subtlety indicates the location of the
Heavenly Portal.
The Heavenly Portal is not well understood by many people,
even though we see clues about its importance all the time.
For instance, when you close your eyes, clasp your hands
together and lower your head to pray, you automatically
focus your mind at the Heavenly Portal. This action is
completely natural, and something we all do instinctively.
Also, consider what happens when you frown because
something troubles you, or glare at someone out of anger. In
those situations, your Heavenly Portal is literally clenched
shut out. The mental pressure from anxiety or rage puts
tremendous weight on this spiritual doorway, cutting off your
soul from everything around you.
This is why we feel so disconnected from others when we are
angry or anxious. Similarly, when we see someone in an
extremely negative frame of mind, we may talk about how
difficult it is to get through to him or her. These expressions
make perfect sense once you understand the central role of
the Heavenly Portal.
Once this doorway has been pointed and opened by the
Enlightening Master in the initiation ritual, it becomes a
powerful tool that can be very useful in daily life.
The Three Treasures
7
Application of the First Treasure
With the frantic pace in our modern life, we often find ourselves in
chaotic situations and our thoughts scattered. When that happens,
think of the Heavenly Portal as the center of our universe, and
visualize all our scattered thoughts coming back to it. This is a
good way to center and balance our minds and restore our inner
strength and wisdom. By bringing awareness to it, our minds will
be tranquil and calm. This will allow us to deal the situation better.
The Heavenly Portal gives us an alternative to concentrate and
focus upon. It is a direct link to our true self, allowing us to tap
into the greater consciousness we all possess.
We have to constantly adhere to the Right Portal and reflect
inward. Only then our karmic forces will gradually reduce. This is
because all the karmic forces come from the dualistic and uneven
heart. If we can let go of our attachment and desires and look
within, letting go of all the notions of duality, our karmic forces will
slowly decrease and disappear. With practice, we will find
ourselves gradually transform. We will be able to see things more
clearly because our wisdom door is now unlocked. We will base
our actions on dictation of our wisdom. We can change our ways
and overcome our shortcomings.
When we constantly reflect upon ourselves, we learn to appraise
and demand of ourselves. The best way to help others is to first
conquer ourselves. This is the first step in Tao cultivation. Only via
introspection and peaceful mind, we can tap into our real wisdom.
In summary, the purposes of the First Treasure:
To enable us to realize our true self, the essence of our mind.
Awareness.
To self-reflect.
This is the first treasure. Now that you have received TAO and
have the Main Gate unlocked, your soul will exit through this point
and return straight back to the Heaven.

2. The Second Treasure - Holy Password
(The Divine Mantra)
The second treasure is the Divine Mantra. Although it is
passed to us verbally by the Master, its substance can only be
understood by heart. This teaching is subtle and words are
insufficient to explain its mystical essence.
It is a powerful bond between one’s true self with Buddha land.
It is transmitted from heart to heart. It is a mantra of power
that resonates at a level beyond the sound waves and writings
of the material world. When practice correctly, our heart will be
in resonance with the divine energy of the Saints & Sages.
Such divine energy is very cleansing for our heart and mind.
The Divine Mantra should not be said aloud or written down at
all. It therefore does not engage the mouth and the ears. It
originates in the mind and goes from there directly to the spirit.
The Divine Mantra is the essence of TAO, it is also known as
the Wordless Sutra. Many people are not aware of the True
Sutra, but it's not a new idea. The concept goes back at least
2,500 years. The Tao Te Ching tells us that "The Tao that can
be spoken is not the eternal Tao."
Do you still remember how many words there are in the
Mantra? There are only five words in the Mantra. Do you know
the meaning of each word in the Mantra?
The first three words represent the three distinct realms in the
universe, namely the Heavenly World (Absolute realm), the
Spiritual World (Relative realm), and the Earthly World
(Physical realm).
The Three Treasures
9
a. The Heavenly World (Absolute realm)
It is the quintessential state of TAO, originally tranquil or
non-moving and non-changing.
It also signifies as the SOUL, our true master. It is within us
since the very first day of our life but we have ignored its
existence. It is the essence within us that is absolute and
imperishable. Through receiving Tao, we will let it flow out
of us and act naturally in accordance with Tao.
b. The Celestial World (Relative realm)
The state in this world is the active state of TAO. It gives
rise to the Yin (passive) and Yang (active) elements. The
interaction of lunar (Yin) and solar (Yang) is the origin of
creations. The state of cyclical changes is the intrinsic
attributes of the world of relativity and phenomena. This
state is that of cyclical changes.
It also signifies as the MIND, our thoughts. Our mind is
always falling into two states, intuitive and rational. During
the rational state, we always dwell in duality thinking the
differences we face, right and wrong, high and low, good
and bad and so on. We are constantly in the perturbed
state and that is why we feel so uneasy to face the world.
On the other hand, we have this intuitive state of mind
which is still, serene and not polluted and filled with
compassion. That’s why when we see a small child or an
elderly fell, we will extend our helping hand without second
thought regardless of their race, culture, religion and
nationality. This state is also called the state of no-mind.
Through cultivation, we want to reach the state of stillness
or no-mind where duality exists no more. By then, we have
gone beyond the mind.
The Three Treasures
10
c. The Earthly World (Physical realm)
This is the world where we live. All the physical things in
this world are created by the interaction of the lunar and
solar elements. All these things can be seen and touched,
but they are impermanent and constantly changing. They
are created and destroyed at all times. The state of the
Earthly World is characterized by temporality, limitation,
and deterioration. This is the physical entity that is
subjected to birth, existence, deterioration and destruction.
It also signifies the BODY. This is also the state that
human beings can attain spiritual enlightenment, return to
his original state, the true self. It is the tool that
accumulates good deeds and merits so that we could fulfill
our vows.
Hence, these three words signify Soul, Mind and Body and
if we can integrate and harmonize all three entities. In
simple terms, it is meant to balance our physical
tendencies and our heart with our True nature so that they
are not dictated by the changes of the surrounding
environment.
By getting rid of the duality or rational state of mind and
maintaining the intuitive one which is simple and
spontaneous then are we able to act in accordance with
our true nature or true self for it is the true master of all
workings. Ultimately our physical manifestation, including
our action and behaviour, will be in accordance with the
Truth so that we are in harmony with our environment at all
times.
Hence to harmonise the universe within ourselves, we need
to emulate the characteristics of the Laughing Buddha or
Maitreya Buddha. The last two words of the Mantra also
represent the Maitreya Buddha (Mi-Le Buddha). Maitreya
The Three Treasures
11
derives from a Sanskrit word Maitri meaning compassion -
to deliver people from the suffering and to give comfort,
compassion and joy to others. This is the key to understand
the true meaning of the Mantra. You may think of this
world as full of frustrations, difficulties, challenges or
sadness. But Maitreya Buddha thinks otherwise. With his
great tolerance and compassion, he can transform
sadness into happiness.
Maitreya Buddha is characterized by his smiling face, his
big belly, and his plain clothes. His smiling face expresses
his compassionateness, sincere and joyful nature. He has
nothing to hide; he has no attachment. His big belly makes
a deep impression on us that he embraces all things, good
or bad, with his great tolerance and compassion. And his
plain clothes show us his simplicity.
Hence the key to joy and happiness is to have a big heart
to accommodate, embrace and tolerate all people, to treat
all things we receive with grace and appreciation. We will
find that the nature of Maitreya Buddha within us can be
gradually developed after received Tao.
The Three Treasures
12
Application of the Second Treasure
In our daily life, we can silently chant the Divine Mantra and
cultivate in accordance with it. With faith, we will be blessed with
Divinity's guidance and protection. The Divine Mantra is prescribed
syllables to protect the mind, protect us from attachment, anger
and ignorance. Mantra recitation is very powerful in purifying
negative karmic imprints in our mind stream. While we recite
mantras, we should also be thinking and visualizing in a beneficial
way so that we are building up constructive habits of the mind.
There is a special beneficial energy or vibration that is induced by
the sound of the syllables. While doing recitation, we can
concentrate on the sound of the mantra, on its meaning.
We can use the Divine Mantra when we encounter challenges in life,
feel nervous, down, upset, insecure or frustrated; we can practice
the second treasure to bring back the balance into our heart.
Perhaps you see an obstacle that seems too difficult to overcome;
perhaps there is a temptation that seems too strong to resist;
perhaps you find yourself in a confrontational situation and it is
becoming harder and harder to remain polite. Whenever you feel
you need extra assistance from a source outside of yourself, repeat
the mantra silently to yourself. A spring of strength will emerge for
you. This strength seems to come from an external source, but in
fact originates from the true nature within.
This is the second treasure; the practice of the second treasure is
helpful. Constant practice will give us a tranquility and peaceful
heart. It will help to calm the heart, settled mind, restore
tranquility and bring brightness and courage into the heart. It can
help to bring out our wisdom & compassion and balance our
emotions & thoughts.

3. The Third Treasure – The Heavenly Hand Sign
(Holy Covenant)
The third treasure is called “the Heavenly Hand Sign” or ‘Holy
Covenant’. The Hand Sign is a spiritual identification and a
symbol with many ramifications.
At the most basic level, the Hand Sign serves as a reminder of
the child within us. Our original nature is a child-like state of
mind that sees wonder in everything, does not judge or criticize,
and experiences pure bliss in the here and now. The Hand Sign
reminds us how precious this inner child is, and how we can
rediscover our original nature through Tao cultivation.
The twelve points on the right hand represent the different
cycles of universe. When you hold the Hand Sign, we are
holding the entire universe within our hands. You are united
with Buddha land and the universe hence holding the covenant
is a good means to hold communion with Buddha land. In
order to be one with the universe, we need to maintain the
innocence of a child. Innocence is our instinctive nature. The
instinctive nature guarantees our relationship with Buddha
land – a parent-child relationship. In other words, to enter the
Kingdom of Heaven and be with Buddha land, we must
become like children with the instinctive nature of innocence.
The Hand Sign is also a gesture where one hand holds the
other, in a symbolic representation of the tender loving care
that you feel when you hold an infant in your arms. Hence, on
another level, the Hand Sign evokes the love between
ourselves and those who are close to us, for it is this love that
gives our lives meaning and purpose.
As we hold the Hand Sign close to the chest, we can feel its
power. It is the power of love that motivates us to achieve the
The Three Treasures
14
impossible or even sacrifice ourselves. There is nothing more
vital than love in life.
Ultimately, the meaning of this treasure extends beyond us
and our loved ones. The highest level of the Hand Sign is the
pure essence of universal love. When we expand our
awareness outward, we begin to realize that everyone is the
energy of love solidified into human form. We learn to see the
divine in all people, no matter who they are. In actual fact, in
spite of our superficial differences, we are all of one entity in
the realm of Truth. If we can understand this then any
differences, disputes or conflicts will be easily resolved. We will
not be jealous of other people’s success because we will view
their success as our own. In the same token, we will not insult
others for their failure because their failure is also our failure.
Such is the essence of oneness.
Hence when we use the Hand Sign, we tune in to this universal,
musical essence. It resonates in the core of our being. In the
presence of this great power, we feel grateful and humble. It is
a power that nurtures and protects us, just as we nurture and
protect those we love.
The Three Treasures
15
Application of the Third Treasure
In our daily lives, it can be easy for us to get disconnected from the
essence of love. The material world, with its temptations and
pressures, can warp and twist our emotions into envy, jealousy,
and even hatred. These feelings manifest themselves as
annoyances, irritations, anger, and even heated outbursts.
By holding the Hand Sign and bowing (kow tow) to pay respect to
the Divinity; with utmost sincerity in your mind, expose your
innocence and concentrate all your spirit in bowing; continue this
incessantly; you will have no impure thoughts while bowing and
offering incense; even when you are not praying, you will also be
tranquil as usual; you will no longer be bothered by misleading
thoughts.
When you are holding the Hand Sign, place your left hand on the
outside and cover the right hand. The reason is that the left hand
represents goodness, and the right hand bad. The right hand is
often used for evil purposes, such as beating, killing, or doing other
wrong things. The right hand is placed on the inside and is shielded
by the left hand. Together the hands hold firmly leaving no gaps in
between your fingers and placed flat on your chest.
This is the third treasure. The Hand Sign will reconnect us; its main
functions are to remind us of our identity as a pure innocent child,
to remind us how we ought to treat one another and to be in
harmony with the universe and our environment at all times.
Using the Third Treasure (Holy Covenant) to help us return to our
Origin, at the end, these three different methods lead us back to
our only Treasure, which is, our True Nature.
The Three Treasures
16
III. Conclusion
Since this Three Treasures are so useful, we should practice
them as often as we can. It would be ideal for us to focus our
attention on the Gate twice a day, that is, before we start our day
in the morning and before we retire at night. This will help to
prepare our heart and mind for the day and to self-reflect at the
end of the day. Whenever you practice the Three Treasures, you
have to do it out of gratitude and sincerity. Thank to our Eternal
Mater and Divinity for their mercifulness and compassionate love.
In addition, the Three Treasures a secret between Heaven and
you, because it is an esoteric teaching from heart to heart. Don’t
tell others about the Three Treasures even though they are your
parents and siblings. If you want to tell them about the Three
Treasures, bring them to our temple to receive TAO. We do not
want to deprive them from receiving Tao especially receiving Tao
is a very unique and personal experiences for every individual.
The Three treasures are opportunities for reflection and
consideration. It is not just a dogma but useful applications for
mindfulness, for awakening the mind being here and now.
The practice of the Three treasure enable us to integrate and
harmonize the body, mind and soul, balance our physical body
and our heart with our true self so that we can achieve a peace
of mind.
Start practicing the Three Treasures and investigate to gain a
better understanding of each Treasure. You can be assured your
life will never be the same again.

IV. Other Important Pointers
There are a few other important points we must remember:
1. The following are the ten great vows you have made (when
you were asked to repeat reading after the secondary ritual
enforcer) during the initiation ceremony:
1) Be sincere and dedicated to Tao.
2) Be truthful in my repentance (Gentleman).
Be truthful in my cultivation (Lady).
If
3) I am deceitful or have any pretentious thought.
4) I retreat from difficulties.
5) I deceive and renounce the Teachers and Patriarchs.
6) I am not respectful or despise the Tao seniors.
7) I do not follow Tao rules and regulations.
8) I disclose the Heavenly secrets.
9) I conceal the message of Tao or do not manifest Tao.
10) I do not perform according to my ability (Gentleman).
I do not sincerely and diligently cultivate (Lady).
I am willing to be observed by Heaven, my conscience and
all humans.
2. You have received your registration card on the day of your
initiation and on it you would see the names of our Holy
Teachers, Ji Gong Living Budhha and Yue-Hui Bodhisattva.
Ji means ‘to serve’ and Gong means ‘public’ or ‘no-self’,
putting the two words together yields ‘to serve selflessly’
and Yue means ‘the full moon’ and Hui means ‘wisdom’,
the two together mean ‘wisdom of the bright moon’.
Combining both titles mean ‘to serve selflessly with the
wisdom as bright as the full moon’.
The Three Treasures
18
3. The other three persons we shouldn’t forget are: the Tao
Transmitting Master, the Introducer and the Guarantor. The
Introducer vowed in front of the Buddha Land that you are
a righteous and trustworthy person and you are from a
good family. The guarantor guaranteed the Tao that you
received today is the Truth, the principles are true and the
Heavenly Decree is true.
4. You must remember the date of your initiation because it
marks the turning point of your life. You have made vows
to become a better person, lead a meaningful life and to
fulfill your mission in life. After receive Tao, we should put
more efforts in our Tao cultivation and contribute to the
society in order to develop our virtues and accumulate
merits.
5. The other thing you have to remember is the place of your
initiation. The above information is shown on your
registration card. Please keep it in a safe place.
For those who are not vegetarian, to show your respect to the
Buddha Land and Divinities and your compassion, you have to
be a vegetarian for one day or minimum 3 consecutive meals.
In addition, if you forget the Three Treasures, you should come
back to the TAO Temple and review the Three Treasures when
the three heavenly lamps are lit.
The Three Treasures
19
V. Responsibility of Introducer and Guarantor
Now you have received Tao which is ineffable, sacred and
sublime; you should try your best to share this exalted teachings
to your parents, family, relatives, and friends for them to receive
Tao. This is of great merit for you because you are saving
someone from life sufferings and for them to get in touch with
their true nature. You not only save that person because, if he
cultivates properly, he in turn can also save seven generations of
ancestors and nine generations of descendants with his virtues.
How great is your merit!
For those of you that bring others for initiation you will be their
introducer or guarantor. During the initiation ceremony, you will
have to make vow before Buddha land like what your own
introducer and guarantor did for you.
When you are called forward to make vow as the introducer and
guarantor you will go through the ritual as follow:
1. You will proceed to the praying cushion and take your
appropriate position.
2. The Ritual Enforcer will guide you through the ceremony.
3. You will be asked to offer three (3) incense sticks. You take
the incense sticks on the table with your right hand holding
them firmly and bring them (together with your left hand
grasping your right hand slightly) towards your eye brow level.
Then use your left hand to offer the first incense stick placing
it ¾ deep in the middle of the heated part of the urn.
4. Hold the incense sticks in your hands and bring to your eye
brow level, offer the second incense stick to the right of the
first offer.
The Three Treasures
20
5. Again, bringing the incense sticks in your hands to your eye
brow level, place the final incense stick to the left of the first
offer. The complete incense offering shall look like the
diagram below:
3 1 2
The other thing you have to remember is that the gender of
introducer and guarantor must be of the same. In another word,
if the introducer is a lady then the guarantor must also be a
lady.
You cannot be an introducer or a guarantor if the person who
wanted to be initiated has direct family relationship with you
like your grand parents, parents, children, uncle and aunties. It
is also not permitted to have a junior to be the introducer or
guarantor to a senior of a family.
Please remember that the duty of introducer and guarantor is
very important. Without them, Tao will not be able to be
transmitted to you. The introducer vouches for your character
and guarantees your good conduct. The guarantor guarantees
that the Tao you receive is the Truth and that the Heavenly
Decree of the Enlightening Master is true.
The other responsibility of an introducer and guarantor is that
you will be the Tao senior to those you introduced to receive
Tao. Your role is to call them to participate in the future
activities organized by the Tao center. Please share with them
your testimony or experience in Tao cultivation and helping
them to appreciate Tao and cultivate Tao diligently.
The Three Treasures
21
VI. Purpose of Merit (Gratitude) Fee
To receive Tao is to embark on the journey to return to our
original home, Heaven, and to cultivate the way of a
bodhisattva so that we attain Buddhahood or spiritual
enlightenment.
The way to bodhisattva cultivation is to practice the six
paramitas: precepts, patience, diligence, concentration
(meditation), donation and wisdom. A bodhisattva begins his or
her cultivation first by ways of donation be it wealth, dharma
sharing or voluntary works.
Donation of merit/gratitude fee marks the beginning of the
first paramita, as it is the easiest to do since we are still new to
Tao cultivation.
Tao initiation is a once in a life time opportunity and we only
need to pay the merit fees once. These fees are used to print
books and scriptures, build temples and donate to other social
services in order to help others.
In the past, one has to cultivate diligently and went through a
lot of hardships to accumulate merits and virtues till perfection
before one could receive Tao. Today, we need not go through
any hardships yet we are able to receive Tao. This is due to our
ancestors’ virtues and our past cultivation & merits that enable
us the opportunity to receive Tao. However, to show our
appreciation to have this opportunity of receiving Tao; we
make a donation of merit fees.
What is equally important is that after received Tao, we
sincerely start our cultivation as a bodhisattva; seriously start
cultivating, changing our bad habits, practicing filial piety,
contributing to the society thus leading a more meaningful life.
The Three Treasures
22
EPILOGUE Once again, we offer our heartiest congratulation to you for receiving
Tao today.
We wish you all the best in your path of Tao cultivation, happiness in
re-discovering your True Self; find the true purpose in life and
experiencing the immense love of Tao.
Please share with your family, relatives and friends your testimonial on
how Tao has changed you and your life.
We hope one day we will have the pleasure and fortune to hear your
testimonial ourselves.
The Three Treasures

Appendix 1 Some compassionate words of wisdom from our Holy Teacher on the 3
Treasures:
The Three Treasures have tremendous advantages and subtle
effects. All you need to do is to use them in your daily life, on
yourself. For example, when you feel restless at heart, recite the
Holy Mantra. You will have wonderful wisdom to solve the problem.
When you are perplexed and lost, worship Buddha Land more and
reflect on yourself, introspect yourself searching for the origin of
the problem. If you can find the cause of a problem and solve it
from there, you are using your subtle wisdom.
Now we are in the Era of White Sun, it is safer to be a Tao
cultivator. We have the Three Treasures to make us peaceful and
buddhas are always staying with us. It is such a good affinity to
have our name registered in Heaven. Cultivate well in our daily life
to build up merits and virtues, we are sure to attain Buddhahood in
the future.
The First Treasure is to help you to transcend the circle of life and
death; you have to make good use of it. The Three Treasures are
with you, you have to reflect on yourself all the time and it is the
best way to find your spirit.
Where is your gate of life and death? The sun and moon as the Yin
and Yang merge their bright virtues in the “Holy Gate” and so, the
most wondrous and benevolent realm is right here. You all know
this very well but you did not have a good look at what is inside
and master the realization.
Do not be attached to this “Holy Gate” and do not just follow
people, since Dao is in your heart, you need to search inside;
however, this searching is not a selfish or irrational searching; it is
a searching based on your divine heart.
The Three Treasures
24
How does the True Self meditate (sit still in peace)? Focus your
mind on the Holy Gate with your eyes slightly open and examine
yourself. We should examine ourselves at any time and any place.
Watch the Holy Gate unlocked by the Heavenly Decree
Transmitting Master; holding no thoughts of right or wrong in your
mind; this is the meditation of the True Self. If we can stay with
this when we walking, living, sitting and sleeping then we are not
far away from the True Nature.
You should review the Ten Great Vows, learn them by heart, and
understand their meanings. Thus, you will be able to achieve
something. Otherwise, is it possible to attain Buddhahood only
because of receiving Dao? Is it possible to become a Buddha only
by coming to the Holy Temple for fun? Cultivate Tao and put it into
practice.
