■ Plant Nappy originated from concerns that traditional metal drip trays were a safety problem due to their weight and often caused more environmental harm than good (when full of oily water they can be difficult to handle and often end up being spilt).
■ The function of the Plant Nappy is to contain spillages and leaks in all weather conditions from mobile plant. This is much the same as traditional metal drip trays but without retaining water from rainfall, thus ensuring environmental protection at all times. The nappy is rugged enough to stand on, or run over, and because there is no retention of water this eliminates costly emptying.

Wind Loading Service
■ The aim of the Wind Resistance Calculator is to provide you with an indication of what wind speeds different panels and stabilisation systems can resist before they reach their ‘Limit of Stability’ and become unstable.
■ The Wind Resistance Calculator has been designed so that the wind resistance of the products can be found at any position along the installation of the panels, whether it is the end of a line of panels or in the centre of the installation.

■ Easy, Fast Assembly 1.5m, 3m, 4.5m and 6m modules, Mammoth fits together with a self-aligning full shear capacity & moment joint, secured with one pin, and can be fitted in any order. This simple, easy assembly requires minimal training, saving time on module layout and applying torque.
■ Reduced Deflection Mammoth has been engineered to maintain excavation integrity, with a double steel beam design able to achieve up to 50% less deflection* for a given load.
■ Reduced Weight In addition, the brace is up to 30% lighter* than others on the market. Smaller machines can be used on site and the weight saving means that carriage costs are reduced.
■ Increased Load Capacity The Mammoth 800kN hydraulic power unit has up to 20% more load capacity* than other systems, so it can support a greater span in poor ground conditions.
■ Over-Dig Allowance Mammoth’s hydraulic unit also extends up to 1.7m, allowing an overall overlap of up to 200mm. This means that if over-digging occurs, the hydraulic unit can extend 200mm to cover the gap between modules, creating dig flexibility and convenience on site.
■ Safe Cross Bracing Cross brace connection points have been designed into the modules. This allows a positive connection between the module and the cross brace, preventing cross brace slippage and ensuring a safe working environment.

A CISRS recognised product, Plettac Contur is a NASC approved modular scaffolding system which meets all requirements of BSEN12810, BSEN12811. Manufactured by Altrad Plettac in Germany.
Right angles – if you want them
The use of the small connection gaps for connecting the horizontals allows a 90° angle to be created between them – essential for certain users. The larger gaps allow angles between 30° and 60°. These options allow practically any angle to be set and shape form of construction to be scaffolded.
Increase in bending moment and shear strengths
Using FEM analysis, the height of the connection heads as well as the shape and wall thicknesses were optimised to produce higher reserves of safety. The resultant higher load capacity pays off particularly for scaffolds used under demanding conditions.

The use of finite element methods (FEM) on a 3D model allows material shapes and thicknesses to be optimised to meet the required applied loads.
This produced the sinusoidal shape and weight savings of 10%. This is associated with clear advantages in erection, safety in use, joint stiffness and storage space requirements.

■ With a tube thickness of 3.0mm the Alto Industrial Aluminium Tower is more resistant to damage and crushing than any other thin wall tube product currently on the market and is recognised as the most robust and durable of its kind. Fully welded joints around the circumference of the tube give the tower a superior quality and rigidity than those using crimped-off partially welded joints. As the tube is the same outside diameter as traditional scaffolding, adaptations and tying-in is easy as you can use standard tube and fittings.

Beaver84 supplied 18,000 temporary fencing panels (63 kilometres/39 miles worth) for Glastonbury 2013. In addition, it supplied 3,680 crowd barriers (8.5 kilometres/ 5 miles worth), 60 six-metre alloy towers for crowd control and one stair tower that allowed for 24-hour-a-day fire surveillance over the festival.

Beaver84 won the contract to supply the temporary fencing and crowd control barriers to Glastonbury as it provided the strongest products available on the market. Its temporary fencing panels benefit from Smartweld corner joints that are proven to be 72 per cent stronger than other versions available on the market, gained through the type of welding used on the fencing panels.
The temporary fencing and crowd control barriers supplied by Beaver84 allowed security personnel to create impenetrable lines that acted as both physical and psychological barriers which is the key to effective and safe crowd control. These measures allowed 175,000 music lovers to attend Glastonbury 2013 in a safe and secure environment which is crucial to a safe and well-run event.
Glastonbury provided a range of security challenges and given the nature of open spaces, significant difficulties in managing crowds safely had to be overcome. Beaver84 gave consideration to the unpredictability of external factors such as weather, behaviour of performers and differing crowd dynamics and as such, was able to provide the safest and highest quality crowd control equipment and temporary fencing to the festival organisers.
Alongside crowd control and audience safety, Glastonbury event organisers had to take into consideration the logistics of staging such a large-scale music event. In the case of Glastonbury, organisers had to prepare for limited road infrastructure in the local area.
Beaver84 were able to expertly plan and execute the logistical operations of the delivery of the materials by adopting a just-in-time (JIT) approach that ensured delivery schedules were organised to reduce lost man-hours and guaranteeing the equipment arrived at the right time and in the correct order to ensure the installation process ran smoothly and efficiently.

Beaver84 lends its support to ‘Children In Need’
Beaver84, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of non mechanical access equipment, has donated its Road mat ground protection mat for the Radio 2 Drivetime Magnificent Seven charity event in aid of Children in Need.
Exclusive to Beaver84, Road mat was used at the charity event to create a temporary roadway for the collection of Ferraris to be parked on once they arrived at Chewton Glen Hotel in the New Forest.
Beaver84 also donated perimeter fence panels to Middle Park Community Centre as part of a restoration project for Children in Need 2009.

Working in partnership with AB Tribunes (Belgium) and owners Arno and Wilma Bosch, a total of 2,350 seats were put in with a covered roof structure in a three-week time scale period, ready for their exhibition match with Real Madrid. The system sits on the Plettac Contur System Scaffold introduced into Beaver84 last year.
