1929 This first Indoor Rodeoin Canada and maybethe world! There are no recordsto show is was orwasn’t.

1956 The annual indoorRodeo started. Therewas snow storm andthe Rodeo did not getover until 4:00 a.m.

1958 Stavely rink burneddown after the Rodeowas held, but with thespirit of Stavely, a newrink was built andready for the Rodeothe following year.

1982 The rebuilt arenaburned down a weekbefore the Rodeo.Everything had been

set up, so with manyhours of

volunteerhelp,

chutes

were painted and theevent was moved tothe ClaresholmAgriplex to continuethe annual tradition.

1983 The Rodeo had to beheld in Claresholmagain as the newarena was still beingconstructed.Organizers havealways beenappreciative of all thesupport provided bythe Willow Creek AgSociety.

1985 The Rodeo was heldagain in the brandnew and presentarena.

2003 The 47th AnnualRodeo was held.

2004 Upon the loss of somemajor sponsors andthe health of the rural

economy, a decisionwas made to cancelthe Rodeo for thatyear.
