About the Course

The ability to evaluate and distinguish between various types of oral lesions is an essential skill for a clinician – one that can make all the difference in the life of a patient.

Come and learn from our distinguished oral pathology faculty essential tips for identify-ing and managing patients presenting with many different types of oral lesions. Bring your burning questions to these experts and come away with a heightened sense of confidence in your ability to assess and manage the most vexing of oral lesions.

Continuing Education CreditsThis course is designed to provide 6 hours of continuing education credit. Minnesota credits: 6 core credits in diagnosis and treatment planning. However, credit given depends on hourly attendance (1 hour = 1 credit.)

Registration FeesAll registration fees include tuition, course materials, refreshments, luncheon, and parking. Den-tists must pay the full fee of $285. Senior citizen dentists (age 65 and older) may attend the program at $165. Dental therapists, dental hygienists and dental assistants pay the individual team member tuition of $165; second and each additional dental therapist, dental hygienist or dental assistant pays the reduced fee of $145. Dentists, dental therapists and dental hygienists who are members of the School of Dentistry Alumni Society may deduct 10% from their tuition fee: member dentists pay $256.50 and member dental therapists and hygienists pay $148.50.

Refund PolicyA full refund will be made if you cancel at least one week (five working days) prior to the program. If you cancel less than one week prior to the program a $50 processing fee will be deducted from your refund.

ParkingParking is included. Information on parking will accompany your course registration.

About Our Speakers

Raj Gopalakrishnan, B.D.S., Ph.D., Professor and Director, Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Department of Diagnostic and Biological Sciences, University of Minnesota School of Dentistry; Diplomate, American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. This course is under the direction of Dr. Gopalakrishnan.

Ioannis Koutlas, D.D.S., M.S., Associate Professor, Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Department of Diagnostic and Biological Sciences, University of Minnesota School of Dentistry; Director, University of Minnesota Oral Pathology Laboratory; Diplomate, American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology.

Michael D. Rohrer, D.D.S., M.S., Professor, Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Department of Diagnostic and Biological Sciences, University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Dr. Rohrer is a Diplomate and past president of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, as well as a past president of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. Dr. Rohrer served as the director of the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at the University of Minnesota from 2000 to 2014 and maintained an active oral pathology practice for nearly 40 years before beginning phased retirement in 2014.

Stephanie Wetzel, D.D.S., M.S., Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of the Oral Pathology Clinic, Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Department of Diagnostic and Biological Sciences, University of Minnesota School of Dentistry; Diplomate, American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology.
