ActivitiesStudents will be given 10 minutes to do the activity entitled: Analyzing Your Information Processing Skills and a discussion will ensue afterwards about their findings that will lead directly into discussions on the importance of constructing constructing knowledge.
ActivitiesStudents will get an introduction to each information processing strategies and given and an example is given.
Students will then be asked to take 2-3 minutes after each strategy is presented to come up with their own example for each skill discussed and share it with the class.
Assessment and Follow-UpPerception
Students will turn in to counselor a paper on their most effective information processing skills, when/how/why they use it, and what type of memory the skill belongs to.
Counselors will network with teachers in all disciplines to share the lesson and strategize ways to incorporate the skills into their curricula.
