There are 14 faculties, 1 college, 1 state conservatory, 3 vocational schools,

5 institutes and 28 application and research centres at AYBU. Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University is

a global state higher education institution in the capital Ankara that prides itself with its more than

300 academic staff, 54 associate, 117 undergraduate, 135 graduate and 54 doctoral

programs as well as 254 departments, 54 disciplines, 9 art disciplines, 98 student clubs,

rich library and over 210 inter-institutional agreements with international universities

from all over the world.

Our faculty employs experienced and qualified academic staff who got their bachelor’s, master’s or PhD degrees from universities abroad or prominent national universities. It is an educational institution that focuses on the individual and emphasizes the synergy of society and science.

Our graduates are employed as researchers or faculty members within higher education institutions or work as teachers in public or private institutions. It is possible for them to get a job in various fields, such as education, culture and arts services, tourism, health, departments of human resources, public relations, communication, media, advertising and promotion, librarianship and archives, counselling firms, computer software companies and research and development units; they are also employed as an editor, copyeditor, scripter and designer in the publishing industry.

Our graduates are able to take up employment in various institutions, including but not limited to the Ministry of Education, Society of Turkish History, Turkish Language Society,Atatürk Research Centre, the General Staff’s Department of History and Strategic Studies, Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency, Turkish Radio and Television Corporation, General Directorate of State Archives, General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre, Yunus Emre Institute, the Presidency of Turks Abroad and Related Communities and other areas related with culture and tourism.

We offer high quality education to our students at Ankara Esenboğa Campus, which is equipped with the latest technology and supported by a rich library.

The departments at our faculty are Translation and Interpretation (Arabic), Translation and Interpretation (English), Information and Document Management, Philosophy, Psychology (English as the medium of instruction), Sociology (English as the medium of instruction for 30% of the classes), History (English as the medium of instruction for 30% of the classes) and Turkish Language and Literature. There are 35 full professors, 28 associate professors, 26 assistant professors, 11 instructors and 54 research assistants (totally 154 academics).
