Fellowship of Prayer Sharing Our Joys and Concerns Prayer Chorus #334 UMH Sweet, Sweet Spirit

Silent Meditation

Let us silently lift our personal prayer of confession as well as the needs shared together this morning.

Pastoral Prayer followed by The Lord's Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.

Acts of Stewardship

Good Morning We are pleased to have you as our guest in worship today. We have a gift for first-time guests at our Welcome Center in our lobby and would be happy to give you a building tour if you are interested.

Please join us for Coffee Hour in Parish Hall immediately following worhip. Parish Hall is down the hall on the right. There is an elevator next to the Chapel to assist you.

Also, you are welcome to arrive before worship to enjoy a cup of coffee in our Aldersgate Café located in the library, next to our main office.

Central’s sanctuary is equipped with a hearing loop. Hearing aids should be set on t-coil or ask an usher for a headset. Large-print hymnals are available from an usher.

We have worship activity bags for your children. You may pick them up in the church lobby. Please visit Cody’s Place, our Children’s Library located outside the balcony on the second floor.

OPPORTUNITIES 3rd Sunday: Helping Hand Fund Jars are put out at the back of the Sanctuary every third Sunday and the dollars collected enable Pastor Mark to meet the needs of persons in the community and in the congregation. Donations to this cause can be made anytime just by putting a note on your check or envelope with money enclosed. August Pantry: Snack Baggies for Kids’ Food Basket Imagine packing 1,000 sack lunches a day...with none of the containers, bag-gies, etc. coming back to you. Kids’ Food Basket always needs baggies and this month we are concentrating on zip-lock snack bags (the ones that open horizon-tally). Can we supply at least one day of baggies (1000) or more? That is the challenge, Central United Methodist Church!!
