• Tocalculatetheunilateraldistanceofatrianglepythagoreanmodecanbeused.Whentakingmeasurementsofthetriangle,ensurethelengthoftherightsideisshorterthanthelengthofthehypotenuse.Ifnot,theinstrumentwilldisplayanerrorsignal.

• Toensuretheaccuracyofmeasurement,takemeasurementsfromthesamestartingpointofthefirstorderhypotenuse.Thenfollowwiththemeasurementoftherightside.Pleasefollowtheinstructionsaccordingtothemethodrequired.(Seediagramsonpg11-13todeterminetheappropriatemethod).
