with Thursday Musical! We are ushering in our 118th season of bringing high-caliber classical concerts to the Twin Cities audiences.Thursday Musical proudly presents three concert
series featuring outstanding musicians from our
area. Our organization is a vital partnership of
performers and listeners that creates and sup-
ports opportunities for the performance and
enjoyment of classical music.
Since 1892 Thursday Musical has served the
community by providing musical venues and
events for local musicians and audiences. Our
recitals explore the spectrum of the solo and
chamber ensemble repertoire. Each year,
Thursday Musical artists present programs on
the concert stage, in homes, and in locations
throughout the Twin Cities and beyond.
Thursday Musical also has a rich tradition of providing musical inspiration and
education to young audiences. Music In Our Schools brings Thursday Musical
artists—from chamber musicians to singers—into the classroom to play and dis-
cuss music and their instruments, or to give an introduction to opera.
Through our Young Artist Program, we encourage junior high- through college-
aged musicians by providing opportunities for recital performances and scholar-
ship competition. Winners are recognized with a monetary award and a featured
concert performance.
Thursday Musical’s unique combination of performance, education and scholar-
ship makes music a tangible, accessible, and affordable part of life in the Twin
Cities area. I invite you to join us and be part of this exciting musical experience!
