VIDEO GUIDELINESClick Below for examples of placement types:
http://viewer.zmags.com/publication/b8a1c13d
Example #1 (Focus Features Promised Land) utilizes a click and popup effect called “Lightbox.” This style is best suited for art that doesn’t allow space for a video box or just for overall aesthetics. This style is required for videos over 25 mb.
Any “Lightbox” video must be stored and delivered by the client’s server and/or sites such as YouTube or Vimeo.
The second example (Focus Features Anna Karenina) utilizes a video that is placed directly into the art. This video is hosted on our delivery system. These files must be under 25mb.
The following formats are accepted for hosting on our delivery system:AVI, F4V, FLV, MOV, MP4*, MPG, MPEG, and WMV*Please use H.264/MPEG-4 AVC encoding (standard MP4 format)Uploaded videos are converted to both FLV (for the Flash viewer) and MP4 (for the HTML5 viewer). It is best to upload either a FLV or MP4 file when possible, to reduce the conversion needed and better control the final quality.
If your video is not currently in a supported format, there are a range of video conversion solutions available online.
For “Lightbox” applications (example #1) we can link to videos that are hosted online. This allows for larger video such as HD.
These options are:
YouTube Video (provide YouTube ID)Vimeo (provide Vimeo ID)Brightcove (provide Brightcove ID)
