Earl. And you have to be completeto do that. In love, two halves donot make a whole. Only two com-
plete individuals can make a whole.You have to resist the temptation ofmistrust and jealousy that slowlyerode the foundation of your rela-tionship. Trust and respect are veryimportant. And even if one fails in
giving these, the other should beready to compensate and forgive.This is the cycle of lovehurting,
forgiving and starting again. Everytime we go through this we become
stronger persons. We become moreequipped to face the challenges in
our relationships.Mishy, there are a lot of timeswhen our feelings dont think.When our emotions get too
strong, we should stop for awhile and let reason guide ouractions. Let Earl know that youtrust him. He needs that andmaybe truly deserves that. Dontlet your imagination go beyondwhat your eyes can see. Fear notthat you will lose his love but
fear that you might be the one topush him out of love.

What if hes foolingaround behind my back, as mostother guys do even if they are al-ready in a relationship? There areso many questions in my mindbut I do not know how to deal
with them. I know that this isntfair. I do trust him but I cant helpthinking about the possibility offlirtation and unfaithfulness. Wehave been fighting lately formany reasons. I realized that heis probably getting annoyed al-ready because of my suspicious-ness and jealousy at every girl hemeets or simply looks at. It some-times comes to a point that weend up hurting each other.
I dont want anyone to evercome between the two of us. I
love Earl so much and I cantstand fighting with him overand over again. We have beenthrough a lot of stops and startsand I am sure theres more tocome. Im so confused right nowJoe. I dont know what to thinkanymore. Am I just being tooparanoid? All this time I thoughtthat loving someone too much isenough to keep that person for-ever because I know that hefeels the same way too. But is it
true that even love can come

DEAR Mishy,It is completely normal to feel acertain amount of fear of losingthe people we love and the people
whom we know love us. I believethat it is this fear which con-stantly reminds us of our respon-sibility to contribute to the well-ness of our relationships. Com-
placency becomes evident whenwe become so comfortable withour partners to the point of tak-ing them for granted. Withoutthe fear of losing them, we be-come catalysts for the destructionof our own relationships.
However, there is the down-side of letting this fear go beyond
the bounds of reason. Paranoiabreeds mistrust which poisonseven the most healthy relation-
ships. By letting this fear takeover our mind and create pic-tures of infidelity, we are pushingthe limit of our protectiveness toa level that becomes uncomfort-able for our partners. Outrageous
feats of jealousy that go beyond sensibility can become very an-noying and destructive as well.
