Motion to open public hearing # 2 -4 Way Stop Signs: W. Carlos/ J. Lopez
Jay read a letter into the record which is attached, from Pat Meyers, former Supervisor. Pat is adamantly opposed of the idea to keeping the intersection as four way stop signs. Jay mentions that there was an accident at this intersection and there has been no decision made at this time as to keeping this a four way stop or replacing the fallen light. Heinz Fenkl, resident of Delaval Place, also spoke for several minutes and is not in favor of the stop signs and would to see the light replaced. He cites heavy traffic and pedestrians as to why it should be back to a light. He believes the traffic flow there is not what it is during the time when Dutchess Community is back in session. He also thinks that a weight limit should be put on that road. He also thinks that some trees and brush should be trimmed back- He wants a traffic study done.
