President’s Report September 2013 G’Day All,

Well the Talent Search is over and what a weekend it was,

the numbers may have been down but the talent certainly wasn’t.

Congratulations to all the Contestants ,Workers , Sponsors and the Audience

for all your support.The Management Committee has called a special general

meeting after the A.G.M. to discuss the Talent Search, so if you want to have

a say be at the meeting on the 21st of November. It was good to see Elvio at the

festival and we hope we will see more of him now. Another of our recent sick

list members Doug O’Keefe hobbled all the way up the steps several time to

perform, and did a great job on his songs, good on ya Champ.We all missed

Keith Bagley, but the trophies he made for us meant he was still there in

spitit.

Congratulations to Jim Griggs on receiving a Life Membership to the club, it

is certainly well deserved.

The Christmas Party is on the 14th

of December so make sure you book early

to ensure you get a feed.

To any of our Members on the sick list get better ‘cause we miss you.

See you all at the next Bluewater and Funday, and don’t forget we can always

use more help on the Sausage Sizzles.

GRIGGS

Jim has been a very active Member of the club since

2004. He has been our sound man, and has always been

there to help us out either with his expert knowledge or

with actual soundgear. When we had the concert he

went out and bought extra head mikes to enhance the

sound. Although he is now taking a backseat, he is still

there to train others on the sound desk, and help in

anyway he can. THANKS JIM.
