Go on a trail of discovery aboard the FREE culture loop bus visiting thought provoking exhibitions that explore social and political issues through bold and beautiful art. TRAIL OF DISCOVERY Explore stories of activism that have taken place in Canberra over the last century. Canberra has a special relationship with activism. As the national capital of Australia, it is not only the location of protest on local issues, but also the site of national and international protest. No matter whether it’s big and dramatic, or quiet and slow, these are stories of people working for change in the Canberra community. From ‘eco’ to ‘FIFO’. From high-value to high-vis. Date: Until Sun 2 February 2020 Time: 9am – 5pm daily Location: Museum of Australian Democracy Craftivism. Dissident Objects and Subversive Forms is a collaborative, playful and immersive exhibition featuring 17 contemporary Australian artists who utilise craft based materials and techniques with a political intent. It is a visually stunning exhibition with an interactive element, where visitors can leave their personal mark by contributing to the colloborative artwork, Archiloom.
