8 Trace Process Trace Management is used to trace the origin of an error that causes an NE or the @vantage Commander to malfunction. You can open the service via @vantage commander or via Web browser! Trace management is usually performed by service personnel. Thus, it is advisable to change the trace settings only under the guidance of the service since excessive tracing may significantly affect the performance of the @vantage Commander and the @vantage-platform-based NEs. g For a detailed description of @vantage Commander Trace Management, see the IMS 6 Operation Manuals (OMN) and the Trace Management online help. 2. To run the trace management, select a particular network element (e.g. CSCF1) andthen select the menu System followed by the menu item Trace Management in the@vantage map.

1. Create a traces session and add applications.

2. Select Apps which you would like to trace and click Add button

3. Tick “Select All” below Application Name and click “Change Filter for …” button

4. Tick “Select All” below Application Name and click “Activate Session” button and thereafter tick “activate TSP” and click “Activate” button. Execute test scenario and deactivate trace session.

Go to “Convert Trace” tab and click “Convert Trace” button … collect trace files.
