Puyo Puyo, also known as El Puyo, is

the capital of Pastaza, a province in Ecuador. Puyo is located at an altitude of approximately 950 AMSL by the Puyo River, a tributary of the Pastaza River, which eventually leads into the Amazon River. True to its name, derived from the Kichua word for "cloudy", the local climate is a wet one and the weather is often overcast.

What to do?

The city of Puyo, Pastaza Province is a natural attraction for tourism because of the various natural and cultural activities that tourists can do, . In Puyo you can do hiking , which can be played with long vines to go from one place to another, or taravitas in which you cross suspended bridges, also you can do canopying in the river, and smell the aroma of the typical vegetation and the delicious food we prepare , you can have walks in the paths through the jungle. This are the main attractions at Puyo and is highly recommended to the tourists.

How to get to Puyo?

There are many ways to get to Puyo.• By bus: if you want to get there by bus you have to get to the bus station an take a bus that goes to the province of Pastaza. There are buses that arrive and leave every hour. The trip would take approximately 2 hours. This is the best way to travel if you don’t want to drive.• By car: If you decided to go by car you can take the new roads to get there. It will also take approximately 2 hours but you can appreciate the mountains and the view.• By small plane: There are many companies that have small planes that take you to Puyo in a 35 minutes flight.
