I. Creating an assignment
1.) Go to Moodle course. "Turn editing on.“
2.) Click "Add an activity or resource.“
3.) Select "Turnitin.“
4.) Click "Add.“
5.) Choose "Paper Assignment" and click "Next Step.”
Set up a separate TURN IN box for each class period. It makes
grading more efficient.
I still use a paper rubric so I have something to write on. Be sure to reserve the computer lab after your post date so
students are required to view your feedback.
Also set up a LATE WORK box. This way, you don’t have to allow submissions after the due date, but
late work still can be submitted. You also don’t have to keep checking the other inboxes for submissions.
Set your due date time to the minute class begins. (Remember the different start times
depending on the day of the week!)
I set my post date to one week after the due date to make sure I
can finish grading all sections. You can always move it earlier if
you finish earlier.
II. Optional settings
I generally look into any similarity percentage higher than 20-25%.
