Plagiarism is not the same as copyright infringement (different concepts) Plagiarism = an attempt to present someone else’s work, ideas, expressions, etc. as one’s own workCopyright infringement = a violation of the rights of a copyright holder, when material restricted by copyright is used without consent.

Plagiarism is considered academic dishonesty or academic fraud, and offenders are normally subject to disciplinary proceedings.

Don’t make the mistake of interpreting a report by saying that if a report shows a percentage of 10% or lower (or any total for that matter) it is acceptable

You have to look at each instance of unoriginality
