No one in my family was ever a rugby player, but I live for the game,” he said. “My rugby ball is my best friend. I carry it with me, in my hands, because I am always looking for an opportunity to play,” he said. “My favourite professional team is the Lions and I aspire to play for them one day. When I watch them play, I learn a lot, espe- cially from Malcolm Marx, because we play in the same position. Malcolm inspires me greatly,” he said. “I currently play for the Kagiso Sting Rugby Club and have been selected to go on a rugby tour to Ireland. But the tour costs R35 930, so I am looking for a sponsorship to help my parents pay this amount,” he said. “This tour really means so much to me – it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” he went on. The BARs are being made available to I&APs for a 30-day comment period from 21 May 2018 until 21 June 2018 (Kimberley West) and 1 June 2018 until 2 July 2018 (Creswell Park).
