OPERATION MANUAL
I. Usage
Type TS-A Rotary Table is one of main accessories of milling machines.It can be fitted onto
milling machine for the following works.
I.Machining cUIVed surfaces utilizing circular milling.
2.Machining flat surface which is set at a certain angle· to a given reference.
3.Inde:xing;drill.ing or milling.
It can also be used on drilling machine and slotting machine to perform one or several works
mentioned above. The workpiece is clamped by the fixture which has been mounted on the table or
directly clamped onto the table surface.

This type of rotary table is a manually-operated model. When the table is used for machining,
the workpiece is clamped onto the table surlace with the aid of T-slots on the table face. For easy
in mounting and aligning, simple in operating, loosen the locking .handle 6 of eccentric sleeve and·
then rotate directing collar 7 of zero position.In such a way, the table can be quickly rotated for a
large angle. If rotate the directing collar 7 of zero position in opposite direction to engage the
worm gear in mesh and tighten it by means of locking handle of eccentric sleeve 6, the indexing
and continual machining can be proceeded by the hand wheel 4.
For index-machining, the starting position is determined according to the position of aligneor
given reference.After loosening the tightening screw 10, slowly move the directing vernier 9 to
make the graduated line aligne with any graduation on the table periphery and then tighten the
vernier 9 with the aid of locking screw 10 again. At the same time, rotate the graduated collar 8
which is set on worm to ensure the zero position aligne with zero line of directing collar 7. After
reading the "degree"from the table periphery,loose the table and then index as a means of starting
position from this"degree".
The dividing plate set, or called as indirect dividing attachment,(supplied for special order) can
be attached to the rotary table. when the dividing plate is used for dividing, remove nut 18, screw
17, hahdwheel 4, replaced them by the dividing plate set which consist of parts 11,12,14,15 and 16.
With the aid of four bolts(M4x16), the dividing plate 11 is cormected with block of scale collar. To
do this, the locking handle 13 must be locked. The sector 12 must be finnly clamped onto the
surlace of dividing plate 11 by means of spring sheet 14.The numbers of hole circle and the
included angle of sector ann 12 are selected according to required divisions (see table for dividing).
After having pulled out the locating pin 16, by turning the crank handle 15, continuous dividing can
be done.
N. Maintenance and Lubrication
Care must be taken to protect all sliding and engaging surlace. The table and workpiece mou
nted on the table must not be impacted and knocked absolutly to protect its precision from

damage.
After operating, all of the chips and coolant must be removed and the table face must be
painted with oil to pi:event rust.
Before putting it into use, unscrew the oil plug, fill oil to make sure that the worm and worm
wheel are running in a good condition. The oil in the cavity of base should be changed once evecy
half a year.
Before evecy shift of operation, the oil hole of spindle must be filled with adequate oil by
means of a oil gun. When filling, lubricated parts should be moved slightly in order to ensure
satisfactory effect of lubrication

Dear customer : Before you moving you table , you should read the attention carefully .
* Installation : the handlewheel of the table is lower than the base., when
installing , should leave enough room for handwheel . Otherwise could bump the
handwheel and result in destroying the worm shaft .

*Adjusting mesh of worm gear
The engagement of worm gear for all types rotary table has been adjusted to a
good condition before delivery and customer must not adjust it . If the adjustment
must be made because_ of worm gear is worn or for some reasons , the procedure is
shown as following
First loosen the handle a for eccentric sleeve locking , unscrew Locking bolt b ,
(1 )Screw clockwise limiting bolt a to add the mesh , at this time rotate the handle
wheel to ensure the mesh of worm gear clockwise and counterclockwise within 6°
and tighten· the lockin� bolt b , then clamp the handle a for eccentric sleeve locking .
(2)Screw counterclockwise limiting bolt a to reduce the mesh , at this time rotate the
handle wheel to ensure the mesh of worm gear clockwise and counterclockwise
within 6°and tighten the locking bolt b . Rotate indicate counterclockwise , when the
bolt c touching the locating pin , the worm gear are disengaged . Rotate indicate
clockwise , when the bolt d touching the bolt a , the worm gear is engaged .
