Background
• The database that our group created is in regards to the training room for the
University at Buffalo Football team. The training staff is made up of a head
trainer, an assistant trainer, and seven training interns. Due to the intensity
and demanding atmosphere of the game, there are many different injuries that
are obtained by the players. Many serious injuries require surgery and longer
rehab, and other injuries that are dealt with as players continue to play and
then are required to rehab before and after the practices.
Problem
• With such as vast roster, and so many injured players, knowing who is
injured, what their treatment requires, and whether or not they are
going to play in the game the upcoming week is crucial to the success
of the team and of the whole football organization.
Approach
• The database that we created is very useful in being able to track the
injuries and rehab of all the players and provide injury reports daily to
the coaches, which proves to be much more efficient than the current
paper based system of records currently used.

Conclusion
• Our system created abundant business value and made the injury
aspect of the football team to be as simple as it can possibly be. The
database makes it easy for the coaches to find out who is injured and
their playing status, as well as coaches being able to keep track of
players on a daily basis.
