Course DescriptionActing for Pre-lay Animation is a course designed to teach the experienced screen or stage actor howto bring their talents into the recording booth, and adjust them to a style that is right “for the micro-phone”. Participants will learn about preparing a pre-lay script, understanding the technical aspects ofvoice performance, and creating original characters for animation auditions. Three classes will be in aprofessional sound studio, giving actors hands-on experience with the real thing.

This is a 4 week course from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm starting on Wednesday June 5th at UBCP (1155 West Pender Street, Vancouver); and then follwed by classes on Saturdays June 8th, 15th,

and 22nd, 2013 at KOKO Productions & Sound Studios, 66 West 8th Avenue in Vancouver The cost for the Workshop is $235.00 for UBCP Members, $450.00 for non members

Trevor Devall is a prolific voice artist, having performed in hundreds of ani-mated productions including television movies, series, feature films and videogames. Evolution, Wild Weasel in G.I. Joe: Valor vs. Venom, and the voice of the alien helmsman Hermiod on Stargate:Atlantis.

For feature films, he has performed roles including Baramanda in the CG feature A.R.K.(with James Woods),Toa Pohatu in Bionicle: Mask of Light, Toa Nuju in Bionicle: Legends of Metru Nui, and Shesta in Escaflowne.
