IntroductionChris Slade

Director of PartnershipsStaffordshire University

I have great pleasure in introducing the latest UK partnership brochure to support the second UK Partnerships Conference. We are very proud that we currently have nearly 5,000 students studying for Staffordshire University awards at UK partners, and I am delighted that colleagues can once again come together to share good practice and celebrate the fact that thousands of students have benefi ted, and will continue to benefi t, from successful collaboration between the University and its UK based partners.

One of the University’s key strategic aims is to enhance the opportunity for a Higher Education experience through partnership activity. By offering fl exible, tailored, work related awards through our partners we know that we are reaching students who are either unwilling or unable to study through the traditional on campus route. We could not do this without the highly valued collaboration with our partners who, through close working with colleagues across the University, continually enhance both the quality of our off campus provision and the reputation of the University.

This brochure provides a summary of our current UK partnership provision, which continues to develop in a rapidly changing Higher Education environment. I hope you enjoy the conference and benefi t from both the formal sessions and the informal networking opportunities.

Please note that the courses listed against each partner are for Higher Educa on awards validated by Staff ordshire University but may not be running at this current me. Informa on is correct at the me of this publica on (May 2014).
