The requirements of this standard cover design and testfeatures of centrifugal fire pumps intended for use in water-supply systems for fire-protection service.
The pumps covered by these requirements are intended forinstallation and use in accordance with the Standard for theInstallation of Stationary Pumps for Fire Protection, NFPA 20.
FM (Factory Mutual) Global is one of the world’s largestbusiness property insurers who also serves engineeringsolutions to be protected against basicly fire, natural disasteror other types of property risk.
FM Approvals is a unit of FM Global who certifies industrialand commercial products and services for companies. Whena product or service meets the standards of FM Approvals, itis issued the “FM APPROVED” mark to signify it will performas expected.
Currently there are 45.000 certified products and servicesand these are listed in “FM Aprroval Guide” which can befound in FM website.
FM Class 1311 states approval criteria for horizontal orvertical split case centrifugal fire pumps while FM Class 1319states about horizontal end suction centrifugal fire pumps thatsupply water to fire protection systems.
The requirements in these standards are mainly based onANSI Hydraulics Institute (HI) and NFPA 20 standards.

UL mühendisleri binlerce çeşit ürünü, malzemeyi, yapıyı vesistemi, elektrik, yangın ve yaralanma risklerine karşı bilimselolarak değerlendirirler ve test ederler.
UL, güvenilirlik konusunda birbirinden farklı ürün ve sistemlerikapsayan toplam 1200 adet standart geliştirmiştir ve bustandartlar 200’ den fazla endüstri için temel yapı taşı olmuştur.
UL’ in resmi internet sitesinde ürün sertifikalarının bulunduğubir rehber bulunmaktadır ve bu rehberde UL sertifikalı tümürünlere ve bu ürünleri üreten üreticilere ulaşılabilir.
UL 448 standardı, yangın sistemlerinde kullanılan pompalarıntasarımlarının nasıl yapılması gerektiğini ve test koşullarınıiçermektedir.
Bu standardın temelini NFPA 20 “Yangın Sistemleri içinPompaların Kurulumu” standardı oluşturmaktadır. Birçok özellikNFPA 20’ deki gibidir ancak fazla olarak birkaç husus dahaeklenerek gereklilikler genişletilmiştir.
FM (Factory Mutual) Global, temel olarak yangın, doğal afetve benzeri risklere karşı korunmak üzere mühendislik çözümlerisunan dünyanın en büyük sigorta şirketlerinden biridir.
FM Approvals, FM Global’ in şirketler için endüstriyel ve ticariürün ve servisleri sertifikalandıran birimidir. Bir ürün veya servisFM Aprrovals standartlarına uygunluğu sağlarsa, ürüne “FMAPPROVED” markalaması yapılır.
Şu ana kadar toplam 45.000 çeşit ürün / servis FM tarafındansertifikalandırılmıştır ve bu ürünler FM’ in resmi internet sitesinde“FM Approval Guide” içerisinde yayınlanmaktadır.
FM 1311 standardı, yatay / düşey eksenel ayrılabilir gövdelisantrifüj yangın pompaları için, FM 1319 ise yatay uçtan emişlisantrifüj yangın pompaları için onay kriterlerini içermektedir.
Bu standarttaki gereklilikler temel olarak ANSI HidrolikEnstitüsü (HI) ve NFPA 20 standartları esaslıdır.

All interior bolt or screw that are exposed to pumped liquidshall be of rolled bronze or corrosion resistant material
The pump shall be provided with automatic air-release valve,circulation relief valve and pressure gauges
Bearings shall have an L-10 rating of not less than 5000hours at maximum load.
The pumps shall be provided with at least four packing ringsplus a lantern ring. The lantern ring may be permitted to replaceone ring of packing.
Impellers, wear rings, shafts, lantern rings, glands shall bemade of corrosion resistant material.
Following material specifications are applied to STANDARTUL/FM fire pumps:
Basılan sıvı ile temas eden tüm civatalar, vidalar vs bronzveya korozyona dayanıklı malzemeden imal edilmelidir.
Yangın pompası, otomatik hava tahliye ventili, gövde soğutmavanası ve manometreler ile birlikte tedarik edilmelidir.
Rulmanlar maksimum yükleme durumunda en az 5000 saatL-10 ömürlü olmalıdır.
Yangın pompaları en az 4 sarım yumuşak salmastra vearalarında bir adet sulama halkası ile birlikte tedarik edilmelidir.Sulama halkası konulmayacaksa en az 5 sarım yumuşaksalmastra olmalıdır.
Yangın pompası çarkı, aşınma halkaları, mili, sulama halkasıve glenleri korozyona dayanıklı malzemeden imal edilmelidir.
STANDART marka UL/FM yangın pompaları aşağıdakimalzeme kombinasyonuna göre imal edilmektedir:
