1.2 Dave Michaud reported on status of new business related action items from the SSC Meeting in Frankfurt.

2.0 Introduction to the Supplier Support Committee

2.1 Cindy Roth gave an overview of the SSC mission statement, purpose, activity between quarterly Nadcap meetings, the status of adding a European and Asian representative on the SSC and SSC organizational structure/task focus. See attached presentation for details.

3.0 PRI/Nadcap Program Status Report & Report on Supplier Evaluation of Auditors

3.1 Arshad Hafeez introduced new PRI Staff and presented information on audit projections, auditor projections, new Prime subscriptions, eAuditNet status and Europe/Asia Progress. Arshad also introduced a revision to eAuditNet that will result in improved auditor feedback. The new system will require completion of the auditor survey as a part of the audit response. The new system will be released on August 4, 2005.

4.0 NMC Chairperson Update

4.1 Chet Date reported on activities of the NMC and emphasized the importance of the Nadcap Customer Support Initiative (NCSI). He also emphasized the importance of reducing cycle times for both initial and re-accreditation audits and for limiting the length of time for high time audits to 150 days max.

5.0 EURAB Meeting Update

5.1 David Yates reported on the activities and purpose of the EURAB Council. He reported that this body is basically equivalent to the NESPB and was working on issues regarding a

6.0 SSC Initiatives

6.1 Dave Michaud gave an overview of all SSC sub-teams including each team’s specific assignment. Dave also reviewed the status of the following additional activities being worked by the SSC:

a. Flowdown of Hardware/Processing requirements throughout the entire supply chain was deemed to be an issue by suppliers at the Frankfurt meeting. The SSC contacted Barbara O’Dell at Boeing for possible assistance from the AAQG. In an e-mail from Barbara, she stated the AAQG recognized this was an issue and is working on guidance document/handbook to address control of sub tiers and flow down will be included.

b. Redundant Audits – This is an item that came from the 2003 SSC Supplier Survey for which work is ongoing. The team for the 2005 SSC Supplier Survey has modified the question relating to redundant audits which will provide additional details to better address this issue. The issue is still under consideration of the Nadcap Executive Strategic Planning Board (NESPB).

c. The SSC is working on a vision for where the Leadership Team feels the SSC should be in 2008. Results of the vision statement will be published in the near future once it is completed and reviewed by the appropriate parties. The vision included a description of how the leadership team would be re-organized into sector representatives in lieu of the current structure involving Co-Chairs.

d. A Leadership Succession Plan is being created to assure leadership in all sectors of the SSC is being developed to meet future needs.

e. An SSC Metrics approach is in process to develop metrics that measure the success of the SSC against its mission statement.

6.2 SSC Communications Sub-Team - Johanna Lisa provided an update on activities of the Communications Sub-team. Items presented were (1) PRI Web site and eAuditNet enhancements and (2) a plan to formalize the supplier mentoring program as a replacement for the previous “buddy system”. She announced that the 4th edition of the SSC newsletter, the Supplier Communiqué, had been distributed via the PRI web site and via printed copy at the London Conference. Johanna asked for volunteers who were interested in writing articles for future editions of the newsletter to contact her. See attached presentation for details.

6.3 2005 Survey – Don Buehler reported on the status of the Nadcap Survey project for 2005. The survey was taken in June of 2005 and data will be analyzed by a team consisting of Primes,

Page 6: UNCONFIRMED MINUTEScdn.p-r-i.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/sscminutes7… · Web viewSonaca Bombardier Zodiac EADS Fiat Avio European Suppliers 511 special process certifications

suppliers and PRI. The team will present the results of it’s analysis at the next Nadcap quarterly meeting in Pittsburgh in Oct 2005.

6.4 Supplier Improvement Team – Jim Cummings reported status of the Escapes Sub-team. The Team met with Arshad Hafeez and Chet Date during the London meeting to discuss the escape definition, data template and 2 different methodologies for collecting escape data. All agreed

on the escape definition and template for collecting the data. The escapes team will continue working on methodology based on input gathered at the London meeting. The goal is to have a reporting methodology ready for submittal to the NMC by the October Nadcap meeting in Pittsburgh.

6.5 Supplier Recognition Team – Dave Michaud reported that this Sub-team, which was established at the Frankfurt meeting, has not been successful in getting team member

participation on conference calls in the last 3 months. AS a result the team is being re started with new participants. David asked those in attendance at the London SSC meeting if there was still interest in continuing to pursue the supplier recognition program. The majority in attendance favored continuing with the recognition program effort (no actual vote count was taken). David asked if anyone wanted to volunteer to be a team member to contact him.

7.0 New Business

7.1 Heat Treat Supplier Technical Sub Task Group (STSTG) Issue (presented by Johanna Lisa) – Suppliers of the Heat Treat STSTG are experiencing untimely responses from Primes when they request clarification/interpretation of the respective Prime specifications.

Action: SSC to review issue and advise action required by the next Nadcap meeting in Pittsburgh.

8.0 Meeting Adjourned at 5:45 pm.
