Uninstall any Existing versions of ArcMap

Before starting, ensure there are not existing versions of ArcMap on your computer

Use the Uninstall option on the CD main menu

Authorizing the EVAhttp://www.esri.com/landing-pages/software/arcgis/arcgis-desktop-student-trial

Authorizing the EVA: Create ESRI Global Account or Login to Existing Account

Enter Authorization Number12 digit EVA number found on inside of CD cover

Select A Version

Select 10.1 for desktop

Go back to the CD menu

ArcMap 10.1 install on Windows 7

Insert the diskClick on the ESRI.exe file

The Main Menu

Install ArcGIS for DesktopClick on the Setup

Click next

Click I Accept and Next

Choose “Complete” then Next

Choose Destination Folder. Then Next

Choose Python Destination Folder

Start the install

Wait until it insalls

Done Install

Previous Licenses Detected

ArcGIS License Manager

Don’t fill anything out. They have already been installed
