WHAT IS DIGITAL TEXT?Digital text is an electronic variant of written text. Digital text is getting more and more popular in the 21st centaury because of all the new gadgets we have like a kindle (an e-book) and there are more and more company's putting out there physical books onto a digital platform like the iPhone has a dedicated area for books and amazon as well has tons of books due to people realising that a digital copy is better than a physical one

There are all different types of digital text for example: e-books, e-magazines, e-instruction manual, e-newspaper, digital poster, e-leaflet, digital comic and e-newsletter

WHAT IS ANALOGUE• Analogue is something that is physical some thing that allows you to

access's to the software something that is something you can physically hold with your hands

• A analogue device is: a keyboard it allows you to access the keyboard mechanics on the computer software to allow you to type letters and make words

• Or a smartphone which allows you to access the software like snapchat and app off their app store and you can interact with is using the touch screen technology

WHAT IS DIGITAL• Digital is something that is virtual, its a computerized software that is

installed onto a computer system or a smartphone• Digital can only work if there is hardware with out it its use less either one

is use less without each other• An example for digital is windows, film steams (Netflix), gaming platform

(Steam)

• An e-book is a handheld device that is made just to read books on you can purchase them off the store on the system and you can order as many as you want but you do have to pay for them but they are about 80p to £2 or the books so they are cheaper than buying a paper back one from your local book store. And there its really ideal if your going on long journey’s it has an 8 week battery life with Wi-Fi turned off and backlight off

• But there are some disadvantages you are staring at your screen even more and its bad for your heath and if you read a book its completely fine does not effect your site in anyway than a eBook.

• If you have a paper back book it doesn’t have any battery life so it last for ever

E-BOOKS

E-MAGAZINEE-Magazine’s are the smartest way to read magazine’s all you need to do is go online and buy one type in like Men’s Health e magazine then it will come up it says you can buy 5 issues for £5 so that’s like £1 a magazine and normally they are about £2 in the stores but you can also get a subscription which is 11 issues for £26 for 1 year so it works out cheaper to get e-magazine’sBut there is a better solution you can go on a website called issuu.comAnd you get to preview magazines on there they have thousands of magazine’s to choose from but it don’t have the feature that allows you to click on the subject its talking about and refers you to that page

DEVICES

• For a book reading device I would suggest a kindle or something in a price range a amazon fire tablet it allows you buy and read books on the go

• Or you could stick to your phone and not pay for a different device you can go on the app store on your device and download a million different books

• But there is a better alternative but you have to have a internet connection other wise you cannot go onto the site its called issuu.com

ADVANTAGES OF DIGITAL PRINT BASED TEXT

• Is that you can have a lot of storage on your device so you don’t need shelfs of books in your home

• If you spilt a coffee on your phone it wouldn’t ruin the book because some phones are water resistant

• Good to carry lots of books with so you can take 10 books and more in one

• You can have 100s of pages and it wont change the weight

DISADVANTAGES OF DIGITAL TEXT BASED TEXT

• You would need to charge the device to keep reading if it runs out of battery

• You need internet if you want to read a digital text based text on a internet explorer or to download a new book from the store

• Can be expensive to buy a book
