§ The Institute of Collective Health – ISC of the Federal University of Bahia – UFBA, was created in 1995 as a contemporary proposal to generate new paradigms for research in collective health, to train professionals to the National Unified Health System – SUS, and to stimulate a new sanitary practice in the context of a society in transition.
