UNLOCK e-news Want to start or grow a successful business? Then you need to attend one of Doug Richards School for Startups Upcoming Events UNLOCK have been in close contact for some time now with Doug Richard’s (of Dragons Den) School for Startups. Amongst other things, we have been discussing the difficulties that people with convictions face in gaining employment, and exploring the opportunities that may be available in terms of self- employment and setting up your own business. They have informed us that they have three upcoming events that they would like to make UNLOCK members aware of; Cambridge May 19th, London Metropolitan University May 26th and also Ipswich June 10th. In particular, the Ipswich event on 'Low Cost, Fast Growth Marketing' is being heavily subsidised by ECIF (the Economic Challenge Investment Fund) which means that they can offer tickets for just £10. They’re hoping it will be a great turn out. It is being hosted by Adastral Park - a hotbed of innovation. At their London Met event they’re are teaming up with UnLtd to offer social entrepreneurs who are still in higher education the chance to pitch for a Catalyst Award of up to £5000. As a 'thank you' to UNLOCK sending out this email, they are offering all UNLOCK Members a 20% discount on all ticket types for Cambridge and London. You just need to use the code UNLOCK when booking (see details of this in the marketing copy attached). Unfortunately they cannot extend this discount to the Ipswich event as tickets are already a bargain £10. So here's the basic overview of what's coming up... 19th of May - Cambridge University - Start Here! Starting & Growing a Successful Business - Booking Link 26th of May - London Met - Start Here!
