L.A. is unbeaten in its last eight series (6-0- 1) and tonight can claim their fourth sweep of 2018 and their first over the Rangers since sweeping three-in-a-row from June 30-July 2, 1998 (Adrian Beltre’s rookie year). Following tonight’s game and off day tomorrow, the club will host their division rivals, the Giants, for a three- game set this weekend before heading back out on the road next week to Chicago (June 18-20) and New York (June 22-24). Los Angeles has won 18 of its last 24 games since May 17 and are 8-2 in the month of June, putting the club alone in second place, 3.0 games behind the first-place Diamondbacks. The Dodgers are 13-11 all-time against the Texas Rangers, including a 6-5 mark in Los Angeles. This series is the first between the clubs since 2015 and these two short series this year will mark the 10 th and 11 th all-time Interleague series between the two clubs (1997-twice, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2009, 2015-twice). IT’S KENTA DAY: Prior to the game, the Dodgers reinstated right-handed pitcher Kenta Maeda from the 10-day disabled list and optioned right-hander Daniel Corcino to Triple-A Oklahoma City. Maeda has been on the DL since May 30 with a right hip strain and is slated to make his 11 th start of the season tonight and first since May 29 vs. Philadelphia. The native of Japan had been heating up prior to the injury, which limited him to 1.2 innings in that May 29 outing. In his previous two starts prior to the hip flaring up, he had fired 14.2 scoreless innings against the Marlins and Rockies. Maeda is averaging 11.69 strikeouts per nine innings, which currently ranks third among National League starters (min. 50 IP) and fifth in the Majors trailing just Max Scherzer (13.50), Gerrit Cole (12.73) and Chris Sale (12.13) and Jacob deGrom (11.88). Maeda has never faced the Texas Rangers. In eight career starts against the American League, Maeda is 4-3 with a 3.64 ERA (17 ER/42.0 IP) and 42 strikeouts. The 30-year-old has limited AL hitters to a .236 average and a .298 on-base percentage. TEXAS TWO-SWEEP: Tonight the Dodgers continue their eight-

game homestand (3-1) with the finale of a two-game series against the

Interleague Series of 2018. L.A. is unbeaten in its last eight series (6-0-

1) and tonight can claim their fourth sweep of 2018 and their first over
