Teacher's Resource CD-ROM Extra material The aim of the extra material in PDF format is to give teachers the opportunity to expand on their lessons. Extra activities in each unit

Extra activities for Lesson one (suitable for 1 hour lesson). Extra activities for Lesson two (suitable for 1 hour lesson). Cross-curricular activities at the end of each unit (suitable for 1 hour lesson).

1. Extra activities There are eight worksheets with extra practice corresponding to the first lesson and eight worksheets corresponding to the second lesson of each unit. 2. Cross-curricular activities There are eight worksheets with cross-curricular activities corresponding to each unit.

Teacher's notes There are also teacher's notes corresponding to each worksheet with extra activities and cross-curricular activities. These teacher's notes provide a step-by-step lesson plan and the key to the activities. The aims, the active vocabulary and the structures are laid out at the beginning. Optional fun activities are also provided.

Interactive Whiteboard Material The Interactive Whiteboard material icludes:

1. all the units in the Student's Book There are corresponding pictures of the active vocabulary of each lesson, which students can look at, listen to the words and also see the words in written form. All the dialogues, songs and stories are animated and students can watch them with or without subtitles.

2. extra activities for Lessons 1 and 2 for each unit On the Interactive Whiteboard material there are two extra lessons for each unit. These extra

lessons, which are called Extra activities, correspond to the first two lessons of each unit and they are suitable for one hour lesson each. These fun activities provide students with extra practice by reinforcing newly taught structures and vocabulary.

3. cross-curricular activities for each unit The cross-curricular lessons can also be found on the Interactive Whiteboard material. They are suitable for one hour lesson each. It is important to mention that a warm up activity for each cross-curricular lesson is also included. The vocabulary practised in the activities is

presented through short videos, photos or animated pictures. Students can watch them, listen to the words and repeat them.

4. vocabulary index The Interactive Whiteboard includes a vocabulary index of all the active vocabulary in the book. Ss can see the corresponding picture of the word, listen to it, see it in written form and practise writing it as well.

5. Celebrations There are three celebration pages (New Year's Day, Mother's Day, Halloween).

6. characters All the characters of the book introduce themselves one by one.

7. Hello song and Goodbye song Both songs are animated and students can watch them with or without subtitles.

The key to all the activities is also provided.
