● Is this dress blue/black or gold/ white?● The color debate started on Tumblr

but went viral on Twitter● #TheDress inspired a social media

campaign that calls to stop violence against women

What is a Tweet:

● A Tweet is an expression of a moment or idea (in 140 characters or less!)

● It can include text, links, photos, and videos.

● Millions of Tweets are shared in real time, every day.

1. REPLY: Comment on a Tweet and join the conversation.

2. RETWEET: Share a Tweet with your followers. You can even add your own thoughts before you share it.

3. FAVORITE: Favorite a Tweet to let the author know you like it.

4. TWEET ACTIVITY: Check out how well your tweets perform.

MT (short for “modified tweet”): in order to fit in 140 characters Your comment + MT + @ username + the shorten tweet

The Hashtag (#):A word or phrase prefixed by a hash sign (#), used to identify messages on a specific topic.

Hashtag can help you find relevant content on Twitter.

When a hashtag is mentioned by a large amounts of users, it can become a “trending topic” that shows up on the left hand side of the interface.
