Brazil Market

Brazil is recovering from its worst drought of 80 years , rains affected the wheat harvest, leading to delayed planting in Argentina and Brazil.

Business for key products in Brazil was impacted on account high inventory at Market place

Historic currency devaluation of Brazil

Discouraged imports and reduced access to credit of farmers – bought business to standstill.

Very fierce Chinese competition

The Brazilian agrochemical market plunged in dollar terms

by almost a quarter (23%) in 2015

An integrated system

the economy exists in the centre of society and the

environment because all parts of the human economy rely on

interactions among people and fundamentally depend on resourcesfrom the natural environment.

Society exists within the environment, as our basic requirements for life

(air, food and water) come from the environment, as does theenergy and other raw materials required to fuel our standard ofliving. The environment surrounds society which subsequently

surrounds the economy, both providing the ultimate limits of activity

within.

Environmental life-support systems for our continued existence on the

planet––those providing clean air, clean water, and food – are in

decline. At the same time, society's global population and global

demand for these resources is increasing.

The Facts

human population will grow from 6.1 billion to 9 billion by 2050 = increased

demand

Underground aquifers are being depleted for 480 people = decreased supply

Global emissions of carbon dioxide has quadrupled since the 1940s =

decreased supply

Nearly half of the world’s old growth forests are gone = decreased supply

Municipal waste grew by 30% in developed nations since 1975 = increased

demand
