PTIPAY™ BV/RC INSTALLATION STEPSse the following steps to install a combined RC-10/DBV-301 unit into a Vendo VV Vending Machine:

1. Remove power to the Vending Machine and remove the existing equipment.2. Remove the four (4) 7/16 inch nuts and carriage bolts securing the Upper Bracket

(See Figure 2).3. Remove the four (4) 7/16 inch nuts and carriage bolts securing left and right

Harness Cover (See Figure 3).

4. Unplug the seven (7) Control Board Connectors, remove the Ground Wire from the frame and retain the grounding screw. Note the key positions of each connec-tor (See Figure 4).

5. Install the six (6) kit supplied standoffs into the new Control Board Bracket (See Figure 5).

10. Drill a 5/32 inch hole in the upper panel that is eight (8) inches from the left door’s hinge, and two (2) inches up from the panel’s bottom (See Figure 10 a).

11. Re-route the door harness from the center column and replace its connector plugs onto the relocated Control Board (See Figure 10 b).

12. Reconnect the Ground Wire using the screw retained in Step 4 on the backside of the newly drilled hole (See Figure 11 a).

13. Reinstall the Fluorescent Tube light (See Figure 11 b).

14. Connect the existing MDB/Lock Harness (See Figure 12 a) into the JCM MDB/Lock Extension Harness mating plug (See Figure 12 b) and route it around the back of the center column up to the VMC circuit board.

15. Connect the Lock Port Plug into J10 of the Vending Machine Controller (VMC) (See Figure 13 a) and the MDB Port Plug into J9 of the VMC (See Figure 13 b).

20. Install the RC-10 Bill Recycler onto the Optipay™ DBV-301 Bill Validator (See Figure 18). Refer to Optipay™ RC Installation Guide (JCM Part No. 960-000107R Rev. 3 or greater) to insure proper installation steps.

21. Interconnect the DBV-301 Bill Validator’s Communications Harness to the Optipay™ RC (See Figure 19).

22. Install the combined DBV-301 onto the four (4) mounting studs behind the Gasket and secure it in place using the four (4) #8-32 Kep-Lock Nuts supplied in the kit. Observe the precautions noted in the Mounting Instructions described on page 8.

23. Connect the MDB Communication Harness to the DBV-301 (See Figure 20 a).
