This is the drum circle at Venice Boardwalk. This has been a tradition at the beach for years. Every Sunday people gather to drum and dance on the beach.

There are many drummers that surround the circle inside and out. There are many types of drums. There is a constant rhythm kept by the drummers.

There are many homeless people who live on the Venice Boardwalk. Many have tents and beds. Some have pets. The people of the boardwalk are locals and tourists alike.

There are many different types of people sitting and dancing around and in the circle. It is loud and lively. A woman dances with flowers on her head.

There are many vendors on the boardwalk including henna body artists. People pay to have their bodies decorated with henna paint. The vendors vary from clothing, jewelry and glass.

Smiling faces and people interacting with each other is common. The tradition has regulars as well as travelers and tourists.

People join to feed the local seagulls. They flock to the food and fly around the beaches and drum circle. The seagulls feed on a lot of human food due to the proximity to so many food shops.

There are police officers constantly driving around the circle to ensure safety and keep the people from drinking or smoking on the beach.

There are helicopters surrounding the drum circle monitoring closely with the police. The music plays until sundown.
