Fish• Today fish are advanced organisms. Started to develop over

500millions of years ago. Then they develop bones and their skeleton. Fish didn’t have jaws and there are 4 main types of fish. Jawless fish have a very hard time to eat and survive.

• Fish with cartilage are not advanced and they have real bones . Cartilaginous includes sharks, ryas, and skates. Sharks are the ultimate hunters in the ocean. Rays are not the aggressive they are bottom feeders. Rays and skates have developed large wings that allowed them to gild through the water using their tale.

• There are two groups lobe finned and ray finned. Lobe finned are an example of lungfish and coelacanths . Then 30 years ago coelacanths long extinct

• Then there are ray finned. It includes goldfish, tuna, and trout. Gold fish has a complex skeleton build for moving. Some fish are very strong. Other fish like tuna move extremely fast through the water.

SHARK

Characteristics Pictures • This vertebrate is a fish and the

animal is a shark. The scientific name is Selachimorphs. The shark eats smaller fish.. It lives in the ocean where it is moist and really wet. The shark is common in the tropical reefs. Most of the sharks are grey with big sharp teeth.

• The shark has a large fin on it back. Has 3 big gills on both sides. Most fish use their tail fin to swim. Muscles in the tail fin move from side to side forcing water backward and propelling the fish. forward. Other fins help the fish change direction and to stop.

Amphibians• Most amphibians are very slimy. When there is a young

amphibian it usually stars like a fish .once it grows up it like the ocean or lake or where ever that is moist and move to land.

• They use their skin to absorb oxygen from the air. It works better when the skin is moist. Frogs and toads have 4 legs, frogs have moist skin and toads don’t. all amphibians have three chamber heart. Frogs moist skin can be really dangerous. It also can poisons . Mans population one of the deadliest poison of all .

Red Eyed Tree Frog

Information • The red eyed tree frog scientific

name is Agalychnis Callidryas. It has red eyes, green body, light blue sides, and legs mostly green. Slender body, large toe pads. The green eye tree frog is able to go on smooth surfaces such as leaves and branches.

• The red eyed tree frog lies from north America, central America, and into southern Mexico. Live in the tropical rain forest. Especially moist low lying areas near rivers and streams. During the day the red eye tree frig attaches himself under the leaves to rest.

Reptile

• One of the largest reptiles are crocodile and alligator! They are the largest reptile around earth.. The largest are 18 feet, over 6 meters. The group is called crocodilia even through they are not crocodile. Some scientist think that they are related to birds than any other related reptile.

• If you ever wanted to see a crocodile I don’t think you would but if you did . You want to go to a place where is near water and there is a warm climate. Reptiles don’t do very well in the cold climate.

• Other reptiles are snakes, lizards, turtles, and tortoises.

CROCODILE

Characteristics • Reptiles is a species of vertebrates and

the animal is a crocodile . The scientific name is crocodylidae . A crocodile can only attack if you mess around with or it is attacking its prey.

• Crocodile mostly live in the moist areas found in swamps, rivers ,lakes, fresh water ,or salt water. Crocodile lives in the United States, southern Florida , Mexico ,central Americas, Caribbean islands .The crocodile that lives in Africa , Asia ,Australia ,and pacific island are the most dangerous. Crocodile are endangered.

• Crocodiles use there web feet to walk on land and their tail to swim. Has a powerful jaw and teeth to tare meat or prey.

Mammal

• We yes me and you are mammals! Your cat dog and an elephant are mammals even a whale. Mammals don’t look the same. Monotremes are the first mammals. There are mammals that lay eggs. A duck-billed platypus is a mammal that lay eggs.

• There are mammals that have pouches. While the baby kangaroo in in his mothers pouch. He will be sucking his mothers milk.

DOLPHINS

Characteristics • Another vertebrate species is a

mammal . A dolphin is a mammal and a vertebrate . Its scientific name is Tutsiops , very kind animal and it does not try to heart any of his species.

• Dolphins are everywhere the Atlantic, Indian, and pacific ocean, mediterian, red black sea,. Dolphins are endangered because whale killer are killing dolphins instead of whales.

• Dolphins can weigh up to 419-575 pounds. The skin color is mostly grey with white. Dolphins have a highly development brain, are considered very intelligent. Dolphins use a clicking sound that they use to communicate.

• If you want to know more read the book called Vertebrates by Christian Petersen

Bird

• Scientist believe that special reptiles began to develop a bird like characteristics towards the end of the dinosaur era. A species call Archaeopteryx had traits such as feathers that might have allowed to fly. Seniti's are still finding fossils about birds.

• Birds lay hard-shell eggs, no teeth, feathers, and hollow for lighter skeleton.

• Not all birds can fly. Lets say a penguin . It cant fly but it can swim really well. Even though it is a bird it cant fly.

Massive Eagle

Characteristics Pictures • Our last species is the bird the

Eagle , they are vertebrate. The scientific name is Haliaeetus Leucocephalus.

• The Eagle live in the mountain near and found in North America.. The Eagle is endangered and threatened .

• The Eagle has a white head, brown feathers a beak rather than teeth. Also it has a strong foot that can hold on when it is sleeping. The birds respiroty system is adapted to make it easier to breather in higher elevation where air is thinner. Birds have adapted a vertebrate skeleton for flight
