Summer Game Jam!
The Annual 24‐Hour Summer Game Jam is coming! All VGDD students are strongly urged to join
in the event. This is a great opportunity to add a game related event to your resume: employers
love to see game jams on resumes. This year we will be star ng at 5:00 PM on Friday, August
22 , ending 24 hours later. Jammers will stay overnight in the East Greenwich Campus building.
To begin the jam, teams will be given the jam theme and the parameters for the game. From
there, par cipants will brainstorm concepts, develop a plan of ac on and start making their
game… from scratch. At the conclusion, everyone will re‐group in the Theater to share the
results. Bring your power drinks, sleeping bags, food, unicorns, etc.!

create an inclusive environment for everybody who enjoys and appreciates games in whatever shape or form. The fes val seeks to

loca on‐based games, tabletop games and more. The games featured at the annual fes val are innova ve and refreshing,
demonstra ng both the budding and the established talent of game makers in the American northeast. The Boston Fes val of Indie
Games is a registered non‐profit with the State of Massachuse s, dedicated to fostering the next genera on of game developers.
Through youth and small‐business outreach ini a ves culmina ng in the yearly fes val, the Boston Fes val of Indie Games strives to
strengthen the game development industry of New England.
