Paving the Way “A Starnader Fool” ~ A NTL Book Review
Never The Less was recently introduced to Sylvia Waldon, author of “A Starnader Fool”.
Her debut novel has received wonderful reviews from her friends, & colleagues. She was able to overcome the obstacle of not being able to find a publisher and went
on to start her own publishing company, AMS Publications. That action alone demonstrates her
passion for “A Starnader Fool”. Sylvia has a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts and is a full time employee of Children’s Hospital for 25 years. We have chosen to
feature Sylvia as someone who has experienced “Paving the Way” for herself and is an inspiration to all of us that
we can do the same. Never The Less is pleased to have met her and to be in the company with someone with
similar aspirations as NTL. Please support Sylvia in her writing endeavors and visit her website
amspblications.com to purchase this wonderful book.
“This book was like eating your favorite cone of ice cream, with every lick you want more and once you’re down to the last bite of that sugar cone you’re feeling a bit sad, knowing it’s all gone. I enjoyed the book from the first page to the last, the characters were relatable.
A good read!” ~ Doris Thomas, Cinti, OH
“A Starnader Fool was filled with suspense and surprising twists and turns. I could relate with the
family secrets coming out after the death of loved ones. The characters were unique and interesting.
Sylvia’s writing is superb and once I started I didn’t want to put it down. Can’t wait for the next one!” ~
Linda Robinson, Cinti, OH
“As I was reading this novel, Francine, the granddaughter digging into her family's history, held
my attention. This information drew me in, and laid the background for understanding thoughts and the mentality of the characters. Most families have
undisclosed secrets that go back generations. Keeping up the old adage, "What happen in this house stays in
this house." As the story unfolds the author took me on an emotional roller coaster, where I was so involved
that at times I loved and resented some of the characters. I thoroughly enjoyed the novel
and recommend it.” ~ Joan Duke, Cinti, OH

With our help she will be Empowered, Uplifted, & Edified. We applaud Jewel for

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the hopes and dreams of my co-
directors regarding Never the Less’ future; and have been inspired
greatly. It is now my turn to speak life into NTL, as I truly believe
that the energy placed into the atmosphere is the same energy
that is returned. Simply put positivity and life begets positive and
life. Being involved with NTL since inception, I have watched it
grow from infancy to the toddler stage we are now in. We are
gaining momentum and a voice, in a way, I feel like we are baby
that just noticed that we have toes and fingers. We are ready to
explore the world and take it by storm.
The first vision I have for NTL is a strong body of supporters, who
believe in the organization and its mission. Supporters who will
reach out to us asking what needs to be done, readily willing and
able to fulfill any and all needs. I see sub-chapters of NTL
sprouting and blooming across the country, as all whom we touch
look for ways to pay it forward in their cities and towns. Never
the Less will follow our supporters as we move, relocating to
various cities for employment and or family obligations, etc, and
will definitely follow our daughters as they move forward in life,
moving to various college campuses across the country.
Secondly, as Mrs. Doris saw the younger generation being the face
of NTL, I further see that with our daughters taking over the reins
and pushing NTL into places and to the forefront that is
unchartered territory. I believe our youth have witnessed the
strength and failures of previous generations and are ready for
change in a way that will catapult NTL as a household name, being
a beacon for positivity and progress. As such, I see NTL as being
stewardess for these future power women of America, sponsoring
its first college tour in the next three years.
Lastly, I see a reputation that supersedes its members and focuses
on excellence, power and strength. An organization that teaches
its young despite where or who you came from, despite what
others say or think about you, we are priceless to the Father,
wonderfully made in excellence. I see NTL firm in its beliefs and
who we are collectively and as individuals, worthy of all that we
have been blessed with and more, no longer fearful of failure, but
fearful of not striving and demanding more. In conclusion, I see
NTL as elegant, beautiful progression, moving to the beat of our
own drums, taking steps of righteousness to restore our homes,
families, careers, and neighborhoods.

A NIGHT OF HOPE, INSPIRATIONS AND EMPOWERMENT
On January 28, 2012, 4C's held their sixth annual fundraiser with the help of sponsors honoring three
committee members; Digi Schueler, Eric Kearney (State Senator), and Helen Carroll with “Champions for
Children's Gala", emceed by Local channel 12's Bob Herzog. . Never The Less members Ebony Stone, Lorian
Dixon, Joan Duke and Doris Thomas were honored to be a part of the Black Tie "Champions for Children's
Gala at the Westin Hotel.
4C's did a remarkable job of letting the warmth of unity take the chill from the air, and the youth choir with songs of praises, made winter easier to bear while
skillfully honoring the Champions while also providing the attendee's with a night filled with splendor. This
Dinner Dance could not be more complete without our Ladies as glamorous as they could be enjoying a night filled with glitz and glam. Ms. Doris provided a warm introduction of NTL with guests and networking in the process with different organizations that were sponsors
of "Champions for Children. The night ended dancing to the soulful sounds of 2nd Wind.
4C for Children is the region’s pioneering leader, advocate and resource for high-quality early childhood
education and care—and the winner of the 2010 Cincinnati Better Business Bureau Torch Award for
Marketplace Ethics. 4C’s offer assistance for Families, Parents, Child Care Providers & Employers.
