Research indicates 52% of those who practice breathing exercises daily are able to get a seat on the subway during rush hour.
TRY THIS• With one hand on the chest and the other on the
belly, take a deep breath in through the nose, en-suring the diaphragm (not the chest) inflates with
enough air to create a stretch in the lungs
• Six to 10 deep, slow breaths per minute for 10 minutes
You can trigger the parasympathetic wing of the autonomic nervous system at will, which immediately lowers your
sense of stress, reduces blood pressure and strengthens the immune system, and lifts your mood!
When was the last timeYOU TOOK A DEEP BREATH?
OK, not really. But seriously, even just taking a few deep breaths can help reduce tension relieve stress.

Research tells us that 65% of those who practice mindfulness techniques, are less likely to ex-perience a printing error before a deadline.
Kidding! But seriously, studies have shown that practicing mindfulness, even for just a few weeks, can bring a variety of physical, psychological, and social benefits.
TRY THIS• The body scan,
where you focus your attention along your body, from the toes to the top of your head, trying to be aware and accepting of whatever you sense in these body parts, without con-trolling or changing those feelings.
When was the last timeYOU FELT YOUR OWN HEART BEAT?
Mindfulness is the awareness that emerges through paying attention on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judg-mentally to the unfolding of experience moment to moment (Kabat-Zinn, 2003)

Research indicates that 75% of those who compliment others on a regular basis wake up to the body of their dreams.
Only kidding! But seriously, when used properly, a compliment is a fantastic tool to make others
grow and strengthen their self-image. It creates trust and builds emotional bonds.
Focusing on and noticing the good qualities of our surround-ings is a mood booster. Additionally, compliments amplify positivity; they not only deliver positive effects to others, but also to us, ramping up the positive atmosphere we breath.
TRY THESE• Compliment because you think it is worth a compliment, and for no other reason
• Be specific about why you pay a compliment
• They tell a person they are worthy of notice
When was the last timeYOU COMPLIMENTED A CLASSMATE?
