HOMEBOUND MINISTRY The Homebound Ministry is looking for

volunteers who would like to visit others

in their home for companionship, light

housework, or meal preparation. If you

would like to volunteer or would like

someone to help you, please contact

CONFIRMATION Our next session is on topic Made for

Mission and will be Wed., February 5

from 6:30-8pm or Sun., February 9 from

8:45-10am in the cafeteria.

RCIA The next RCIA session will be held on

FAMILY ROSARY Thank you to the families who have

already prayed the rosary for a week.

The Francka family will pray the rosary

the week of February 2.

ADULT FAITH FORMATION Please join us after Mass on Tuesday

evenings from 6-7pm from January 7th

thru March 10th in the cafeteria. We

will be using the Symbolon series Living

the Faith by Dr. Edward Sri. It will go

over the Sacraments and how we live

them out in our lives.

2020 CATHOLIC STEWARDSHIP APPEAL

Thank you to everyone who has

already responded to the

Catholic Stewardship Appeal

(CSA). Our parish CSA goal for

2020 is $41,000. As of January 20,

$36,190, or 88% has been

received toward that goal.

Please mark your calendars for

Tuesday, February 4. We will be

holding a State of the Parish address

at 6:30pm in the church. I encourage

each family to have a representative

at the event. This is an opportunity for

me to give you an update on the

parish and school operations and

finances. In addition, I will be sharing

ideas for ways that we, as a parish

community, can meet the needs of

providing a comfortable, safe and

functional worship and gathering

space and to provide a safe learning

environment for our students. I hope

to see you there.

THANK YOU We would like to thank everyone for the

prayers and support given during

Carolyn’s illness and death. We

especially appreciate those who

brought food for the funeral, who

prepared and served the meal, and to

all who ministered at her funeral mass.

FUNERAL LUNCHEONS A group of parishioners met last week

to discuss the parish ministry of

providing funeral luncheons for parish

families. As a result, our process for

asking for food and help at the funerals

will be changing. If you have not

volunteered to help at funerals, but

can, please contact the parish office.

Watch future bulletins for more

information as the process is finalized.

VALENTINE DANCE The Knights of Columbus will host their

18th annual Valentine $10,000 Dinner

and Dance at the K of C Center, on

Saturday, February 8. Cost is $100/ticket

(Dinner for two). Doors open at 6pm

and meal will be served at 7pm. For

at 619-0885. Proceeds will benefit the

St. Martin Education Foundation.

PRE-LENTEN FISH FRY The Westphalia Knights of Columbus

will hold their annual pre-Lenten fish

fry’s on February 7 and February 21

from 4:30-7:00pm at the Westphalia

HAM & SAUSAGE BREAKFAST The St. Anthony Knights of Columbus

will hold a Ham & Sausage Breakfast

on Sunday, February 16 in St. Anthony

will host the next weekend on

February 15-16, in Jefferson City. Get

SCHOLARSHIPS Applications for the Simon Scholarship

and Warack Scholarship are being

accepted through March 31, 2020.

The scholarships help Catholic

students, who are in financial need, to

attend an accredited college or

university of the student’s choice

(Simon Scholarship) or the University of

Missouri Columbia (Warack

VIRTUS TRAINING

The Diocese of Jefferson City will hold a

VIRTUS ® Protecting God’s Children class

on Monday, February 10 at the

Alphonse J. Schwartze Catholic Center.

Class will begin at 6:30pm in Room 306.

Participants must register in advance at

www.virtus.org. Only those 18 and older

should register. Please arrive early so

that the class may begin on time. Due

to the nature of the subject, children are

discouraged from attending. All

employees and volunteers who have

contact with children and youth are

required to attend a Protecting God’s

Children session.

ST. MARTIN FISH FRIES

Please save the date for our annual fish

fries. They will be held on March 6 and

20. Each family is asked to work at one

fish fry and bring desserts, and any

parishioners are also welcome to help

with this fund raiser and social event.
