Present
You may have noticed a New Arts & culture organisation on the coast or been
to one of the events over the last 12 months.
Naughty Noodle fun Haus is a registered Arts & Culture charity targeting
diversity as the norm, increasing exposure to a greater range of voices and
perspectives including First Nations, culturally and linguistically diverse, all
genders, abilities, classes, ages & LGBTQIA+;
Central Coast Pride is arts based, and LGBTIQ+ lead, motivated by equality for
all people. The Central Coast Pride experience is focused on diversity as the norm, creating
safe and Inclusive spaces for self-expression which inspire authentic originality & celebrate unique and diverse imaginings.
We leverage arts for social change. That is why we are creating a diverse array of events and programming, something for everyone across both the entire
LGBTIQ+ community and overlapping into our entire broader community and beyond.
Diversity The LGBTIQ+ community is not one community, but is many communities made
up of people with diverse bodies, diverse sexualities and gender identities. Just like wider society, people in these communities come from differing
backgrounds, hold differing political views and have differing experiences & as such, there is not one person or group who can or should represent the views
of all LGBTIQ+ people. Therefore we stand for
Human Rights
Equality
Social Justice
Welcome
Welcome to your volunteer handbook. In here you will find everything you
need while performing your duties as part of your shift at the INNAUGRUAL
COASTAL TWIST FESTIVAL
Central Coast Pride and Coastal Twist recognises the value and importance you
are contributing by donating your time. This festival would not be possible
without your help. Therefore we want to make sure you are aware of your
rights and responsibilities to other Coastal Twist Volunteers and Coastal Twist
Attendees.
Every volunteer working with us has the right to be respected, celebrated for
who they are and receive gratitude for their contributions.
Our Volunteer Cycle Central Coast Pride advertises for Volunteers throughout the year and follows
a selection process which enables Volunteers to self-identify their strengths,
interests and skills. Our volunteer co-ordinators then assign roles based on
these fields.
Once selected, we are committed to providing our volunteers with an
induction, a volunteer handbook, Central Coast Pride’s Code of Conduct and of
course support in the field.
Our volunteers can choose to work as little as one four hour shift, or can
choose to volunteer on an on-going basis throughout the year with the many
different aspects and events that make up the festival.
We provide all volunteers with feedback forms so upon completion of their
shift or involvement we can receive feedback about your experience.
