Bluetooth quick start guidefor models DS6311/DS6321/DS6322
Pair your rst Bluetooth cell phone
Before you begin, make sure you have cellularcoverage and your Bluetooth enabled cell phone is not connected to any other Bluetooth device.
To pair and connect your rst Bluetooth cell phone:

Press to highlight
Press then press to highlight
Press . The screen displays
Press . The screen displays
Press to set the telephone base
to discoverable mode.
Then, promptly turn on the Bluetoothfeature of your cell phone and searchfor or add new devices.
Once your cell phone nds your VTech phone, press the appropriate key on your cell phone to continue thepairing process.
Enter the PIN of the telephone base (the default PIN is0000) into your cell phone .

The pairing process may take up to one minute. If the pairingprocess fails, try again.
If you put the handset back in the telephone base or chargerwhile pairing, the process stops and the handset returns toidle mode.
Pair your rst Bluetooth headset
Before you begin, make sure your Bluetoothenabled headset is not connected to any otherBluetooth device.
Bluetooth headsets can only be used for calls on thehome line.
To pair and connect your rst Bluetooth headset:

To use a Bluetooth enabled cell phone or headset withyour DS6311/6321/6322, you must rst pair and connectyour Bluetooth device(s) with the telephone base. AllDS6311/6321/6322 handsets can be used to make oranswer calls on the cell phone line.
Bluetooth wireless technology operates within a short range(a maximum of approximately 30 feet). When you pair aBluetooth cell phone or Bluetooth headset to the telephonebase, make sure your Bluetooth device is close to thetelephone base to maintain sufcient signal strength.
Keep your Bluetooth device closeto the telephone base to maintain areliable connection.
When successfully connected, the handset displaysThe corresponding device light (DEVICE1 or DEVICE2)on the telephone base turns on.
If you have trouble pairing your cell phone, it may notbe compatible with your DS6311/6321/6322. Check theBluetooth compatibility list at www.vtechphones.com.

The steps for the pairing process may vary for different cellphones. If this happens, follow the prompts on your cell phoneand your DS6311/6321/6322 to complete the pairing process.

Place your cell phone next to the telephone base when youdownload a cell phone directory to your DS6311/6321/6322.
Make sure the cell phone is paired to your DS6311/6321/6322,on the active devices list and connected to the base beforeyou download a cell phone directory.
For certain cell phones, you may need to press a key on yourcell phone to conrm the directory download.
Download directory
You can download up to four cell phone directories to yourDS6311/6321/6322 via Bluetooth wireless technology.
To download a cell phone directory:

(if necessary), then press .
