Amazon Wish List
As this is such a strange end to the school year, the teachers at Walton have decided that it will be good to start looking towards September! We have been working hard to choose class books that we will be using in KS2 classes for each topic and we would like to buy enough for each child to share one book between
two.
Mrs Stewart has kindly created a “Wish List” on Amazon of all the books we will be using. If you would like to support us, please purchase one of these books for the school with a little note to say who it is from. This would be greatly appreciated.
We would like to take this time to thank you for all of your hard work and dedication over the last few months. We have loved seeing all of the lovely things
that the children have been up to and we can’t wait to have their energy and smiles back in school in September (fingers crossed)

Vision and Values of our Church School
Over the Summer we will be renewing our mission statement, vision and values.
The mission statement for the school needs a little freshening up and we would like to add another three Christian values to our existing ones of Honesty, Respect and Kindness. In
order to do this, we would like as many parents as possible to send us one word that describes out school. For example, some of the words we have received so far are family, exuberant, nurture, care and love. Please either tweet your words to us or email them in
to [email protected] by the end of term at the latest.
The more words that we receive the better as we are going to create some “wordle” posters for around school of all the words that have been sent in from our different
stakeholder groups in school.
Teachers are also going to be asking the children to send their words and Mrs Rowe will be collecting words for our parents on the gate so get your thinking caps on!
Visitors and friends of the school plus all staff and governors will be involved in this activity too. We will launch our renewed vision and values in September, which we think is a
perfect time to do it when we will hopefully all be back together again.
Menu week commencing 13.07.2020
Monday – Big breakfast sausage, bacon hash browns & beans - flapjack
Tuesday – Veggie burger, homemade roll, pasta salad - yoghurt
Wednesday – BBQ chicken, southern fired wedges & beans - mousse
Thursday – Vegetable pasta bake - cake
Friday – Fish, chips & peas – ice cream
School reports
Reports are available to collect from school next week. Please just come to the gate and
we will bring your report out to you.
Hot days, rainy days!
The weather is variable at the moment so please make sure that appropriate clothing is sent in with your child.
Sun hats and sunscreen and/or hat. Please put sun cream on your child before school. Water bottles must be in school every day. You can send sun cream into
school, but your child must apply this themselves and it cannot be shared.
