Safety & Security for our young Eagles ……………………..

This is just a reminder that we should always keep the safety of our children in our minds and our hearts. At

present, our city is experiencing is somewhat in a perilous state, leaving many innocent citizens at risk. This is just

another reminder for us as parents, Guardians, Caregivers, Neighbors, etc., to be mindful of safety factors for our

children by giving them the guidance needed relative to safety as well as monitoring their activities (social

functions, locations, etc.) and interactions (with friends, peers, etc.) Many of our kids are still at an impressionable

age, and they may not be of the mind set about their safety. Therefore, it is our task to try and do our best to

prevent their safety from being at risk. With all of this being said; remember to talk to your kids and keep an open

dialogue with them, and hopefully, we will produce some safe and healthy as well as intelligent young Eagles.

The Marching Eagles……………

The Eagles Marching Band is all geared up for this Mardi Gras Season. They will be marching in a

total of eight (8) parades. They will begin on Friday 2-1-012 with the Oshun Parade and end with The Rex Parade

on Mardi Gras Day (2-21-12). The schedule is listed below. To all of the band parents, this is just a soft reminder

that we should make sure our kids are in good health and good spirit throughout this time. We should make sure

that they are eating healthy and resting when they are at home, as well as attending to all of their academic

responsibilities (homework assignments, etc.) We look forward to having our chaperones walking with us,

however, we could use more male chaperones to keep the strength that we need to safeguard our kids

throughout the parade routes. They also appreciate having Snacks during this time for light nourishment.
