Organization Structure

• Operate as a club team under the WMHA• Objective of the Midget Operating Committee is

to provide continuity and assistance in fundraising and sponsorship activities and a streamlined decision making process

• Comprised of members of the Waterloo community who are committed to developing and maintaining a provincially and nationally recognized midget hockey program

• Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the team, including financial management

• The Wolves participate in 4 tournaments per season

• Applications have been made to the following tournaments for the 2013-14 season: Markham Majors (Oct 10 to 13), Sudbury Big Nickel (Nov 7 to 10), Team Illinois (Nov 28 to Dec 1), and Waterloo Gold Puck (Dec 13 to 15)

College Trip

• To expose the players and parents to opportunities available to student-athletes

• Past years: Lake Superior State University, St. Lawrence University, Niagara University, Bowling Green State University Falcons (CCHA)

Hero to Hero & The Wolves

Hero to Hero Game

• “Hero to Hero” matches sports teams in Canada with members of the Armed Forces serving overseas

• Autographed donations (and more!) are sent from the Wolves to the troops

• A special pre-game ceremony is held to present the Wolves’ donations to “Hero to Hero”

Promoting the Wolves

• Team has its own website at http://waterloowolvesaaa.wordpress.com/

• The site receives over 66,500 visits per season

• WolfTalk: monthly newsletter from October to April; print & electronic formats

• The team is also on Twitter and Facebook

55+ Club & Big Brothers

• The Wolves’ 55+ Fan Club is a popular group for seniors which has generated a loyal new fan base for the Wolves

• The Wolves partner with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kitchener-Waterloo. Home games are regularly attended by BBBS volunteers & kids, plus the Wolves host a skating party where players spend time on and off ice with the kids

Team Fees

• Each family is responsible for $1500 to the team budget (payable in four installments)

• Team fees can be recovered by securing a corporate sponsor for the program

• Family contributions and corporate sponsorships cover the cost of operating the program

Wolf-a-mania 6: Sat. Nov. 9

The purpose of Wolf-a-mania is to raise funds to support the Team.

Wolf-a-mania happenings include:

• Delicious dinner (cash bar)

• Dance to live music

• Casino

• Silent and Live Auctions

Wolves Golf Tournament

• The Waterloo Wolves 3rd Annual Team Golf Tournament will take place on Sunday, July 7 at Foxwood Golf Course, Baden.
